Okay....I thought I would throw this out there for any of you computer gurus. One of the websites I go to often is moving servers, much like our dear old sploofus did here recently. The owner is having some issues though. Here is the post on her blog.

Hello to everyone.

I now have the new VPS server and am working hard at getting it ready, adjusting all the settings, fixing spots here and there.

Having a VPS server means I need to do all of the maintenance and such myself. That also means I am stuck figuring out most of it. Sure, I can ask the techs when I really get stuck, but I can't constantly nag them either.

One thing they aren't familiar with is PHP coding. The new server runs PHP 5.0.8, which isn't the newest version, but that's okay. The thing is, the one the site is currently on Runs PHP 4.4.1, and the code is not taking too kindly to the switch up to version 5. I've tweaked some settings to get it as close as I can to what it was before, but I am still having one pretty important problem. The login does not work. It is sending information to the database, the database is verifying it, but it won't actually log in the user.

So I'm asking anyone out there, if you have experience with PHP or know someone who has, if they could counsel me out of the kindness of your/their own heart. I would greatly appreciate it.

I really want to get the new server up and running asap.

I think what I need is someone who can look at my login script and my header script and tell me what could be improved upon, to be honest.

If any of you know anything at all about PHP code and could take a look at her headers and log in script out of the kindness of your heart then please drop me a line either via the messaging system here or to shadowfire76 (at) gmail (dot) com and I'll get you in touch with her.
