We are slowly but surely downsizing as we are emigrating to Canada (it takes 2 years but we are doing bits at a time!)

we have hundreds of films on video and are wondering will they actually work over there? At least if not we have a chance of getting rid of them now.

Excuse my ignorance but I understand that the US is different to the UK and if we can save shipping costs than I am all for that!

I think that if you take a British video player with you then it should be ok.

I think the difference in videos is that a British video won't play on an american one and vice versa. Although A british video player should still work in canada if you have a plug adapter that will fit.

It is very easy to find "all region" DVD players in the states...I have 2. There are web pages that list ways to reprogram existing DVD to play other regions.
