My latest quiz has an average rating of (gasp) 4. I feel devastated!!! Only three people took it and and I guess they hated it. I have seen many other similar quizzes that have done well, but not mine. Maybe changing my title will draw more takers??? Any suggestions for improvement on a bombed quiz?

I thought your quiz was just fine. If you had a low rating, it wasn't cuz of me. I like Lemony Snicket.

Obviously one person probably gave you a BOMB and that lowered your score to 4. It will go up with the more people that play it obviously. Don't fret about it.

I think alot of people give a low rating if they get a really low score. Like it's your fault they don't know the answers!

Please don't take it personally Emi...some folks have an attitude problem when they don't do well on a quiz, and give you a low rating. The problem lies with them, not you. If I do badly on a quiz coz the questions stumped me, then I give it a high rating...provided it was well-written. That means the author taught me something, and that is a good thing!

I think it was a well-written quiz.

People who rate low because they're having a bad day need to go away.

I have been here a long time and I know when some people have trouble with the questions, they give the quiz a low rating. This is completely unfair to the author but I don't know what can be done to stop it.

The same thing happened to me with my first Head Poppers quiz [plug, plug ]...As others have said, the rating will likely go up as more folks take the quiz. The only time I rate below 6 is if the quiz is truly poorly constructed. A blatantly wrong answer or two will earn the author a 1. I never base my ratings on how I did, though.

I got a nice note from someone (won't name them here) who took Head Poppers #2, did poorly, and rated it high anyway. It made my day! So thanks!

Hey, I took that quiz!!! And I think I was the first one to take it! It was a great quiz, because it had a lot of interesting information. Thanks for all of the positive encouragement! It helps a lot!
