Will give offense no matter how I phrase this. I find some editors sarcastic although they deny that. Find this site filled with "fluff" rather that answering questions-legitimate-love you, Smoke. Truly wish The site answered questions and Addressed issues rather than BS (Pardon me). I have submitted support tickets and when they say the issue is closed-means then not me!!Linda

Whenever a support ticket is responded to, it is automatically marked "closed." That's just how the system is written. However, closed tickets are kept on file, and since they are indexed by number, if you feel your situation was not satisfactorily resolved, you can submit a new ticket, referring to the number of the closed ticket.

I'm sorry if you consider that an unnecessary hassle, but that's how the system is implemented, and we all need to work with what we have. Hopefully, it facilitates the solution of a lot of the problems we all may experience here.

Thanks so much for your response-just feel that there are issues that membership might have "constructive" comments- strongly feel suggestions and ideas -heeded or not-deserve a response and explanation-perhaps negative-would at least get folks like myself off your back-trust I am not a negative person by nature-just am angered-Linda Actually, i am a 60's teen and love the world lol

Believe i will be ignored once again-should be accustomed to it by now-Believe ideas that do not come from the "master"s mid' are put aside without explanation-his game-guess that is fair if not reasonable-It is all about " pats "not suggestions that might improve the site. Sorry-once again have given offense-Linda

One of the problems with the written word is that it is so very subjective in interpretation. What one person means as a joke or a wry comment can be read by another as sarcasm or rudeness.

I know... some one is going to point out the fact that I didn't see the exchange. Granted. I just know that there have been many times when I was accused of sarcasm when it was really an inept attempt at humor with no offense meant.

If I take offense at a message, I try to read it in a more positive light. Since I truly don't know the writer's real intention, and both interpretations can be equally valid, I choose to believe the more positive.

Pollyanna attitude? Not really. Just a way to make life a little easier.

Linda - I have been around about a year and a half, and have seen many changes on this site in that time. Some I have liked, and some not. I assume that the suggestions for the changes have come from various members. I know I have made a bunch of suggestions, and I cannot say that I have seen them implemented.

But the bottom line, is that this is Justin's site. He makes the decisions. Some of them might be programming issues. For example, I would love to see every quiz stay on the main page for at least 2 days. Right now, the popular categories cycle off very quickly. But that's my issue, not his. Maybe it is hard to program (I know zip about programming). Maybe it would take up too much memory. I haven't a clue. Maybe he just doesn't feel the need for that, or want it.

I would love to see the recent EA quizzes on the main page, right under the "Most Popular". I've been saying it for a long time, but I cannot get upset just because it doesn't happen. It's not my site. I'm sure there would be plenty of players out there who would hate the idea. We all have different likes and dislikes.

Some changes I have loved - I really like the Word Matches. They weren't here when I first got here.

You shouldn't be taking any of this personally. Justin apparently has some big changes in the works. We might love them, we might hate them. But I am sure that the changes are coming out of some of the things that various folks suggested. We just have to wait and see.

And if you or I hate them, that doesn't mean that the majority of folks feel the same. It's a game. We play the parts we like, and we leave the rest alone. I am a Word Puzzle addict. But if I didn't like them, I wouldn't ask that they be gone.

Had to check your profile, Robert. You are most kind-love you for it. I just have issues that have posed for what seems like eternity-no response positive or negative- addition to the game-just would appreciate response positive or but not the usual "fluff" nor sarcasms found here-Linda

Surely the big thing about Sploofus is the fact that we even have the availability of all this communciation? It's what puts it well above other sites.

Inevitably, in a 'village' of 27,000 people, not all will be happy about everything.

But surely, when those who are 'unhappy' can at least say so, whether or not with the desired result, that's miles ahead of not having a voice at all?

To be celebrated, surely, rather than regretted?

When I first joined Sploofus, there were NO chat Forums, no WR Shouts, and as an ordinary member I could not PM anyone. I could not send a message after doing a quiz either.
We had Splooftalk for a while, but it was not used enough to keep it alive.
One of the reasons I went Gold was to be able to communicate.

We now have many wonderful developments and improvements all the time..bring on the 15th of April!
Sure, there have been glitches, but the good far outweighs those inconveniences we experience from time to time.
Sploofus had between 4000~5000 members when I joined, and I have loved watching the evolution and being a part of it.

I hope all members find as many aspects of Sploofus to enjoy as I have.

Bushyfox, you mentioned the WR shout. I've been watching that and it seems like everyone there knows everyone else and I'm not sure what the purpose is. Can you enlighten me as to how it works?

Hi Salzypat. The Shout people seem to know each other because we're the blabbermouths who talk to each other all the time, but we're VERY friendly and always welcoming and glad to hear from a new voice.

Jump right on in!

Yup Salzypat......Smoke's right on there! If you see an active convo going, wait for a lull, then pop in a "Hi everybody!" and a smiley face..maybe make a comment to get a convo rolling.
It works.....have fun with it!

Since I am such a hard-headed a-- , difficult for me to say this, The quiz that got me in such a frenzy and set other complaints in motion, is still not there. Another one is that I was not even watching!!! Linda

Sometimes, the Shout is hard to follow, especially when you throw several players, myself included, who show severe signs of ADHD - several different tangents going at once. There are times I don't feel like shouting, so I am quiet (not often). If you feel like joining in, do isn't and never should be exclusionary or obligatory.

I believe I just blocked the offense player from sending me any kind of message at all-although his view was I was "touchy' to constructive criticism-mean is mean. Most likely i have poor ratings to look forward to from this individual-the type-Am I whining again? lol Linda

Go ahead, honey, if something's on your mind, whine if you feel like it. If something's bugging me, I have to go ahead and let it out; simmering makes it worse and turns a momentary problem into a ball of resentment. It's unhealthy to bottle things up.

Nobody has a right to tell you what you can say or not say around here as long as you're following the rules. Nor is anyone forced to read what you write if they don't like it. Messaging you to tell you to be quiet is just rude and mean, and in my opinion FAR worse than a little whining.

Don't let it bother you. I've told you before I think you worry too much what other people think. You don't have to be apologetic about your opinion.

Rock on, girl.
