I took all four of my wives bowling on special occasions. And if I won, on to White Castle.

Deeder, How long have you been married?
Felix, Are you going to take your fifth wife there too?

Hope this isn't too late. Hubby and I celebrated #14 last week. On our very first date we went to a movie (Robocop of all things) and a Mexican restaurant (Garcia's) We have done that on every anniversary since. Movie and Mexican food. It kinda keeps us thinking asbout when we started. And, while the movie is not always romantic, the tradition never fails.

Deeder, Maybe stay at a bed and breakfast just to get out of the house. If there is a museum or zoo that you have not been to in a while, make a day of it like a mini vacation.
Felix, I question your southers roots. No mention of cousins to marry and "white castle", maybe Krystals. Bring your banjo over, I'll teach ya a few notes.

Hey Deeder Congrats! How many years so far?

Since you're in Oregon, you've probably outgrown visits to Lincoln City, Seaside, Cannon Beach, Astoria, etc. Those are all great places my wife and I both have enjoyed (if you're looking to stay in the NW).

Being from Seattle, another place that we've been to on a couple anniversaries that we truly love visiting is Vancouver, BC. It's a great city with a very culturally diverse downtown area and lots to do.

However, if you're looking for a trip somewhere out of the off the continent.........the possibilities are endless. (Especially if you've never been to Paris or on a Caribbean cruise - which is at the top of our list, LOL)

But a lot depends on what the two of you enjoy the most.......HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!

Seriously,deeder..Do whatever he likes-fix a nice breakfast or dinner of his favorite foods-that is ,if you like to cook.Wrap yourself with only a bow for his present. This works every time!!Men like this present for some odd reason..

Good point. However, being from the South I realize we know very well the connection. But (psst there are Yankees in here) just cause a gutbomb is a gutbomb doesn't mean they would know what a Krystal is or was. So in so many words I was playing to the crowd.

I just checked and the modern gift for 21 years together is brass or nickel. Not much help there. Maybe a nice watch and a romantic dinner?
Hope you have fun and Congratulations on 21 years!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY DEE-DEE. I am sorry that I don't have any ideas for you. My husband and I just go for a quiet dinner at one of our favorite restaurants.

Hmmmm.......a romantic walk alone by beach or in forest would be loving, along with a rug and a bottle of champagne. Sprinkle the rug with rosepetals, and have some crystal or glass flutes carefully wrapped (no plastic!)...some sweet words to each other, let nature take its course.........get the picture?

Happy Anniversary Dee Dee...here's to 21 more!
As for celebrating...take a long drive, go to a drive-in and act like teenagers, go parking, (YES PARKING!)....dinner and dancing, take a walk in the woods and take a picnic lunch...the possibilities are endless...altho right now I'd settle for 4 cheese Krystals and a cherry Sprite! LOL

If you could remember what you did back on your 1st anniversary, maybe you could repeat that - or even repeat what you did on your first date - as long as it was legal - not necessarily moral though. Good Luck and I hope to get there one day.

Good idea about recreating your first anniversary! That wouldn't be a good idea for me and my hubby. We spent our first anniversary in the ER, he thought he had appendicitis! (Luckily, he didn't!)
