Well, tomorrow is my birthday and I will be incredibly old. I am going to follow an old tradition, started last year, of buying a case of Beck's, applying a liberal amount of Ben-Gay to both knees, while sitting on the deck listening to the Tiger game. I will get pleasantly buzzed with "Big Dawg" at my side. I will make one upgrade to this tradition though. I will wash the Ben-Gay off my hands before my first trip to the Day Lilys. Why am I telling you all this?,,,,,,,,I don't know.

As a semi-incredibly-old Ben-Gay user, I think you've made a wise decision.

A very happy birthday to you Don, with a special pat for Murray and good luck to the Tigers!

Be glad you don't have to listen to last night's Tiger game. They got their butts kicked...really hard. Not enough Beck's made to soothe that over. Even Ernie couldn't have saved it.

Tomorrow will be better. They are still 8-2 over the last 10.

Happy birthday. And best wishes for getting incredibly older and older while keeping your spirit as youthful as you are today.

Happy Birthday, Don! Here's an activity that will make you feel young...go to YouTube and look at the video of the Zimmers, the senior rock band from Great Britain. The lead singer is 90. They do The Who song, "Talkin' 'bout My Generation." (There's one little hand sign at the end that may offend some...)

70 is not so very old. I hope your birthday is great and that you feel younger every day.

Thank you Asian. I once asked my wife what she considered old and she said "Anything that's been laying around the house that she hasn't used in a year"

Dear Donden,The alternative to turning 70 is not getting to 70.Got there 2 years ago. I saw a 102 year old woman on T.V. who shot a hole in one.
We have lots of years left. Miriam

Miriam and Donden:
I hope those many years are full of good health and cheer. May you both always have something to do, someone to love, and something to look forward to.

Happy Birthday Don!! I don't consider anyone "old" until they reach 90, so you're still a kid yet (and I'm just a year behind you). 3 good reasons to enjoy 70: 1. It beats the alternative; 2. You can say what you REALLY think; and 3. You can take a nap in the afternoon if you want to. Have a great day.

What a relief!
I thought I was the oldest inhabitant from both points of view - No. 64 and just turned 66.
I now feel a new man!

Everyone knows Surreyman can't swim and can't count.
Smart boss + smart employee = profit
Smart boss + dumb employee = production
Dumb boss + smart employee = promotion
Dumb boss + dumb employee = overtime

He was drinking with two buddies, and a bunch of flies landed in their newly poured beers. The other two pushed off the foam and restarted drinking. Surreyman picked up the flies and started yelling, "Spit IT out."

Surreyman can really cook though. He makes a great Welsh Pie with the following recipe. Buy truffles, rib eye steak, fresh sage, a little fresh thyme, some very fresh strawberries and a case of Guinness. Drink the Guinness and forget the Welsh Pie.

However, he is a philospher. He told me: "To be happy with me, my wife must understand me a lot and love him a little."
To be happy with my wife, I must love her a lot and not try to understand her at all."

The problem with the Surreyman genepool was the lack of a life guard.
He does plan to live forever ... so far, so good.

Trust me, by taking his quiizzes you will know him, love him and feel like he can retire now.
