Some of you may not have heard, or may have already forgotten about, the May 4th tornado that wiped out the entire town of Greensburg, KS. It was nearly 2 miles wide, and was an EF 5. It killed 12 people and basically there is no town anymore.
My friend, whom I have storm chased with, was right behind the tornado when he realized it was about to take a direct hit on the town of 1600. He was pretty much first on the scene and helped pull people out of the rubble. EMS could not get into the town for nearly 30 minutes due to debris and downed power lines. Also, Greensburg is one of several rural towns far from each other in western KS.
Sean was so overwhelmed by what he saw that he is making the DVD of the chase available to the public. He is donating $7.00 of the $10.00 price to the victims. If you are interested you can click on "gift shop" on his web site:
to help out. Thanks.

I'm glad to see the recognition here. Up until a month ago 3 of my sons and their families lived in Greensburg. I have never been more thankful for their gypsy tendencies. I live an hour and a half away and have been volunteering with food collections here. My husband sent his dump truck and says more is needed. Thanks to all...From here in Kansas.

Susan, Sean wept after spending the night there helping. We had driven through Greensberg just 2 weeks before spotting for the local NBC affiliate in Kansas City regarding the outbreak in April along the TX panhandle. My husband's family are all from Plains so I had been out along 54Hwy many times. I am so glad your family is ok and know that those of us in eastern KS have not forgotten you all!

Thanks Jeri, The response to this disaster locally and nationally reminds us of what a great and caring place this is.
