ASLAN'S WEB PAGE Inspired by other 'sploofusers' (why not?) Robert has a web page (actually several) being built around his outdoor efforts at making nature more beautiful. It is informative and beautiful. He has also updated his home page. Shouldn't we all? He sets a fine example!

I'm sorry - that should be 'hobby gardeners'.

I hope 2.0 has an editor for messages.

Robert you're doing a beautiful job. Maybe you'd like to add a page with pics from other Sploofusers' gardens. It would be especially nice if it had flowers that were indigenous to their area. Flowers from around the globe. Like you don't have enough work to do keeping up your lovely garden. Maybe a project for next winter? Sorry pal, I'm a make-work kinda gal.
Anybody else want to add to Robert's work load?

Roberto, If I had your yard and garden, Sploofus would be something I only visited when it was dark....

The guest house is still open Robert. The pay is crappy though.

Robert, that's wonderful! I love the dark one with the light filtering through the trees. You can post the link on your profile (if you haven't already) and you won't have to deal with all the email!

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful garden.

Your place is beautiful, Robert, and it must be really quiet and peaceful. Just to have deer come and feed is quite special. Enjoyed all of your pictures and look forward to more when you find the time.

Wow! I am overwhelmed by all the nice comments.

I think the idea of adding other Sploofus user pictures is a fantastic one. If you want a picture of yours included, email it to me at the hotmail address in my profile.

Bushyfox, can I put your pepper pictures on the site?

YES...I suppose it seems romantic to have deer on your lawn. However, I have to be quick to get any of my fruit because they love all the plums, cherries and the best apples. They get the higher fruit by standing on hind legs and beating the tree until the fruit falls....none left for me. They also eat my laurel bushes and some flowers.....

The animals that feed here do present a problem.

I've come to the conclusion that I love the animals too much to do anything that might keep them away, so I just pay attention to what they don't eat and plant more of that.

I love your place-- gorgeous! The hostas look so lush and healthy. We are experiencing a major drought here in NW Georgia and we're on watering restrictions. My hostas are thirsty! I'd love to send you a photo of my backyard garden. I have spent the past five years landscaping it (ouch, my back) and it's finally grown in. I spend as much time back there as I can (and yay, for laptops and wireless connections).

So far we have Texas and Florida garden photos representing Sploofus Island gardens. Any one else want to contribute?

Robert, you'll have to make a whole Sploofus Island page if you're not careful!
