IDOL

Ok...self-proclaimed reality show addict here AGAIN.

Thank you GOD for Jordin winning. I loved her almost as much as Melinda, but alas all the 12 year old girls were voting for Blake when Melinda got voted off...so as it stood tonight...I couldn't be happier.

Suffice to say...I did like Blake, but just nowhere near the vocal talent as Jordin.

Just my 2 cents....Me.

P.S. Can I talk about Apolo winning the "Dancing With The Stars" show yesterday...HUBBA HUBBA (ok...I know I'm old enough to "almost" be his mom...but YIPPPEEE again)

I never got into Idol this year or last. Performance night is Triv Nite at the pub so I would only get to see the kick-offs. It hurts the trivia turnout every year, I can tell you!

Just from what I've seen and read, I think Sanjay might be the only one from this year who makes it. He makes the little girls cry; that sells records.

I would have liked to have seen Jordin and Melinda competing in the final. It would have been nice two great voices belting it out.

I would like to have seen any of them - sadly my local cable company and my local fox station are at war and the cable company dropped fox this fall.

Feel free to show your sympathy with dollar bills.

Melinda was far and away the best singer. It was disappointing to see her go.

Oh, Melinda, Melinda...she was stratospheres above the others all the way. I'm glad Jordin won last night of the two finalists, but Melinda was the real winner and should have taken home the gold. I'll bet she'll be just fine -- I'll happily purchase her first album.

I totally agree about Melinda...and she showed such class in her enterview at the finals. I think what really did her in was that Simon kept praising her.

Loved Jordin, loved Apolo, and yes I loved Tessa too! Bevin was annoying.

I have to throw in my agreement about Melinda being the one who ought to have won, though she's probably better off not having to operate under the kind of contract they'd have had her sign. As it happens, I know Melinda (we were both in the same production of "How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying" a couple of years ago, and I've seen her in other shows at the same theatre before and since), and she is every bit as genuine and nice as she appeared on "Idol." And with talent like hers, I'm sure she will have a successful career for years to come.

To be quite honest...I was ALMOST done with Idol this year with whole Sanjaya thing. It really aggravated me that someone like Gina (cause I love the rockers) got voted off before him.

IMHO...the majority of the viewers of this show simply don't have the time to vote for hours...only 12 year old girls who have NO concept of what quality is...(case in point Chris Daughtry) have that kind of free time on their hands.

Idol should limit the voting to 1 or 2 per line...then I might actually vote for someone knowing that my 2 votes count. Currently I know that if I vote twice, it doesn't make up for 12 year old "Miranda" in Kansas voting 4 billion times.

Summing it up...that's why Melinda didn't win..."more experienced" people who recognize incredible talent when they see it (I played back her audition about 20Xs...and got goose bumps EVERY TIME) simply don't have the time to vote for hours.

My 2.5 cents...Me.

P.S. TallActor...if you see Melinda again...tell her she rocked my world.

I think Dancing with the Stars also limits the number of times you can vote. Of course you could use multiple phones or IP addresses, but still there is a limit.
