AVERAGE RATING SCORES FOR EDITORS AWARDS

As we all know, EA quizzes aren't rated on a numerical scale like other quizzes, but with only three non-numerical choices. So, how is the average rating calculated?

I believe the three choices represent 9, 8 and 7. It is a perk of getting the EA to help generate more points for the author.

I figured it was something like that, but thanks for clarifying with detail. Much appreciated!

The numbers quoted above cant be right since one of my EA quizzes has a rating of 8.58.
I guess that means a low rating must be 8.4 or 8.5?

Sure they can be right, since it all depends on the number of raters and their ratings. That 7, 8, and 9 are round numbers doesn't matter. For instance, if 12 people rated you what netted out to be a a 9 ("deserved an editors award"), and 7 people rated you what netted to an 8 ("decent"), that would yield a rating of 8.68. Your actual rating of 8.58 is nothing to sneeze at, of course! Does that make sense? If not, check with the math experts... lol.

You are right. I misread the statement, sorry!
