Advertising mascots - way to go! I never was able to do a word puzzle without guessing any letters before. Of course, I took a long time at it, and there will be many, many with shorter times. But, I am excited! 5-moves! Wow! Even I can do it!!

I'm really bad at remembering which editor authored it, but thank you, whoever you are!

Excessively exclamation-pointed - Alice

agreed -- a fun puzzle and one which americans could do in five. Tough for people not brought up here of course -- but I'm not bitter .

The very existence of this thread may be too hinty, but there was one puzzle that gave this born&bred American problems for reasons I can't fairly divulge for another 10 or so hours. Maybe you didn't get it Alice, or maybe you just viewed it differently.

On (2) I needed no letters, but got bumfuzzled on the other 3. Which needing no letters is a first for me. Enjoyed the puzzle! Usually on the short ones, I use up too many wrong guesses.

Hmmm: Allena must have hit the same one I did!

Ooooh, so close!

Me too! Loved it - but had good hints on 3 puzzles for a no-letter guess, and then 2 where the hint was no help at all and the answer so short I had to guess lots of letters.

Luck of the draw wins again ("if it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all")

Most enjoyable! Congrats to all of you who aced it.

I too had one puzzle which was a real terror: I got four of them in one move, but the middle one took me 7 movies--not that it was obscure, but that it simply never occurred to me. So instead of 5 moves, I finished in 12, giving me about the worst standing in my WordPuzzle-taking history. Ah well!

Does anyone else think we're going to be embarrassed during the D-Day puzzle at how comparatively easy the answers came in this one?

This was a tough one for people like me who watch very little television. I even asked my kids for help. Congrats to all those who answered in 5!!
