I just noticed on the leaderboards that the person in first place in quiz taking has over 153,000. Now, assuming you got 100 on each quiz, that's 1,530 quizzes in 22 days. That is over 65 quizzes per day. Say each quiz takes one minute-That is over.....ok, I've used all my math skills up. How many hours would that be a day? I got 1 plus. Could that be right? Because I know I play at least an hour a day, and I do very well most of the time, yet my score is half that. Is my math wrong? Help me. The curiousity is killing me!
PS Don't you all envy my poor son, whom I am home-schooling?

Leah, divide 24 into 153,000 and you get 6,375.
they would have to stay awake for 24 hours straight or do over 700 quizzes in an 8 hour period. If they divided it up that way...that would mean either 8 hours a day on this site or even 12 hours a day...or something like that. Am I making sense here? Or are you still totally confused? I know I am! LOL

There is the ever-present possiblity the are an alien with multiple heads and more arms than an octopus...which given a prime seat in a computer lab might be able to whip off all these quizzes while eating lunch.

Actually, if you look at the leader's profile, you'll see that they have been a sploofuser for about 25 days, and have taken over 2,600 quizzes. My simple math skills tells me that's just over 100 quizzes per day. The 153,000 points means an average score of about 70 points per quiz (very possible).

Assuming a minute or so per quiz, that's almost two hours per day. Lots of time, but not unbelievable. I bet I spent almost that amount of time on sploofus last month trying to win the WordRounds competition. At least, it felt that way.

I quote "That is over 65 quizzes per day. Say each quiz takes one minute-That is over.....ok, I've used all my math skills up. How many hours would that be a day? I got 1 plus"

Very very possible! 65 quizzes a day at one minute each is only one hour five minutes!

Why is that so rare or impossible???

The leaderboard for quiz taking is only for the month, which was 22 days yesterday. I didn't say it was impossible. I'm just wondering, as I spend at least an hour a day on here doing quizzes, have a high average, yet my score is half that.

it may take a minute to take the quiz. But you have to figure in the time it takes to double check the answers, rate the quiz, and then go and pick the new quiz. This probably at least doubles your time per quiz. This would explain how come you have about half their score.

It also depends on the type of quizzes being selected. There are plenty of easy fill-in-th-blank quizzes out there (where you could get 100 easy points). I can do some fill in the blank quizzes in under 30 seconds. If he/she is selecting those kind of quizzes, he/she could cut that proposed time in half and consistently get 100 points per quiz.
