You get a new wager token every time you complete a level. You can use them to "bet" on your ability to answer your TQOTD. When your question comes up in a topic you feel pretty good about, you can check the little box toward the bottom of the screen and a new screen will come up asking you how much you want to wager.

The maximum amount is set for you, and is some percentage of your point total. If you are going to do it, you might as well go for the max, since you don't get that many tokens. If you get the question right, you get those additional points. If you get it wrong, you NOT ONLY lose those points, BUT ALSO lose all your fractional level points. For example, if you were at level 3.7, and you get your question wrong, you will find yourself at 3.0.

So, as an example, to show you what I do: I only bet on Science questions, since that is where I feel most comfy. If I am at levels .0 to .4 or so, I will bet the max when a science question comes up. If I get a science question, and I am at level .8, I will save it, and not answer it, till I get up to the next whole level. Then I will bet on it.

Hope that clears the system up for ya!

Just to emphasize, in case it wasnt obvious...
You can save questions for up to ten days.
so when you have a grade of 3.8 you save your 'banker' question till you get to wager level 4.0.
Then you take the banker. Even if you lose points you dont lose your .8 grade.
