I've taken a bunch of the CQs, and all so far are 9s. Really fun, enjoyable topic!

Great topic, I agree, I wish I could have place a thread in the Hit List. But unfortunately I can not.
I think the community quizzes have been underrated, but they produce some of the best quizzes on a site.
Should we vote or give out "awards" in several categories for these quizzes?

Awards for categories in CQ's sounds like an awesome way to promote them more. Great suggestion

Has anyone else had a problem taking Garrbyl's Community Quiz. I clicked on the link and it takes me to another one of his quiz's. So far on the list it shows 0 have taken his quiz, but maybe other people are having problems linking to it?

I also tried taking Garrybl's CQ. I got one of his quizzes that had shown up incorrectly under another incorrect quiz when he was having so much trouble getting the proper quiz to go live a few weeks ago. When his CQ is taken, the points and credit go to that quiz under another title and category.

Reading back my explanation, it makes just about the same sense as what is happening to his quizzes. At some point, I hope he is able to get his real CQ launched properly.

It's been a neat mix so far. Just goes to show that truth is stranger than fiction!

The Editors have noticed the problem with Garrybl's quiz, and are doing what we can to correct it. We have been in touch with the author, and are working with him. We hope to have this problem corrected soon.

I agree with an award for best community quiz per month. I find them to be some of the best quizs I take. I have taken all of them up to July & am starting to do those. Three cheers to all who write them.

Dear Editors
I'm beginning to take this personally.
I posted my Lucan quiz; two weeks later it is posted going nowhere.
I've reposted it in a new format at the start of today --told it would be fast-tracked but still nothing...
Any time someone wants to take it live. I'm still waiting!
This is four or five of my quizzes I've had to re-post. It is getting beyond a joke. What with ID switches and all, life is far more complex than it ought to be...

I've been reading this thread, but the last post, up above this one, by "Gar" something, is coming up all machine language and numbers and symbols, like it is scrambled or something. I can't read it at all.

Surely you are joking, Smaug! It comes out perfectly clear on my computer.

osuz, is your computer off white in color? Then that probably means your computer is electrohyrated. The static in the keys is making the graphics board skip a channel, in this case, as often happens, creating an error that corrects another error, the same one the gar guy has. If you both just sprinkle some water on your keyboards, the static should dissipate immediately. Not too much, just a little more than a mist.

Actually orange juice is funnier...I mean, better.

I wonder if it would make any difference to Garrbl and Smaug, if they downloaded
"Mozilla Firefox" as recommended. I did that a short time ago and it improves the availability and performance of quizzes.
Failing that....Garrybl - you MUST pay your memership dues !!!!

I'm Scots. I would never do any such thing with Scotch.

Just completed all of the July Community Quizs & a great bunch of quizs they were. Congrats to all!!! All except poor Garrybl's, when I try & access his quiz it takes me to What A Way To Go. Barry I took that quiz & couple more for good measure but this is spoiling my record. Please fix, kind editors

Dear Oldcougar
When i go to community quizzes I see my Lord Lucan quiz (as the top of the list -- most recent) listed with 49 takers. i can't go into it of course but i think it is the real thing... or is it another quiz masquerading? Thewre is also another quiz with no takers which is impossible to access or leads to a wrong quiz.

Barry - You can check it by going to "Your Quizzes" and clicking on the questions.

I had no problems taking Barry's Lord Lucan quiz...and it was a good one, too.

Yes, they are inspiring and give everyone a chance to do a quiz with the same theme, from different perspectives. I agree about the awards suggestion as some CQs I have done, would have merited an EA if submitted under a normal category. Thanks Tuzilla and Surreyman for innovating CQs, and long may the Sploofus team spirit survive!

Clarification. After writing my previous thread, I feel I should clarify that when I mentioned CQ quizzes "I have done" that had EA potential I meant other members' quizzes.
