WHAT DOES A BLUE DIAMOND BY YOUR NAME MEAN?

A Blue Diamond recently appeared by my name, what does it mean? Where are the daily WordPuzzle/ WordRound winners listed or are they only by the month? Thanks for any help!!!

Hi Chrissy!

A "Blue Diamond" by your name means you were very lucky! Some members have never seen a
Blue Diamond. It means that at one time a blue screen must have popped up when you were doing Word Matches. You answered all 10 questions correctly and under the 2 minute limit, and won 100,000 points. On the Wordpuzzles, Click on Your Sploofus space, top left of the screen, go to the right in the drop down to Command Center. There is a lot of info on it and a link to Wordpuzzles or you can click on Wordpuzzles at the top of the screen. On the Wordrounds, there is a link a the bottom of each game, to click on and see past winners. Hope this helps!

Marilyn...

Lucky indeed. I play and have been playing wordrounds and wordmatches since they came out. I have yet to be lucky enough to get a nugget or a blue diamond.

I'm still trying too, but have had one shot so far.

I've seen people with lots of those blue & gold charms who are only on very low levels or who have only been members for a few months. I've seen others who are quite the opposite. Personally, I've only had one opportunity and I bombed it. I do WP/WR almost every day to increase my odds but it doesn't seem to matter. Is it purely random? Does anyone know for sure?

i've been playing WR/WM consistently for several hours daily since Sept.

i found my first blue diamond about a week ago. i found my first golden nugget this week.

i think it is indeed random luck.

i won the diamond but lost the nugget by one wrong word.

i'll keep trying to find more.

IMO its purely random. I've seen other posts that say it happens every 1,000 correct rounds. I thought it meant every 1,000 times YOU do rounds or matches. So, I started guessing about how long it would take me to do 1,000 correct matches before getting a nugget or diamond screen to pop up. I do about the same number for each, but the screens don't pop up consistently (per rounds played)...so I lean more toward the random theory. (It may be that after 1,000 word matches from the combined group of players, a diamond screen pops up for the next person who launches the game...don't know.)

Found this post by one of the Editors:

"Yes, as Garybl said, if you don't actually PLAY the game, your round won't count, and the blue and gold screens appear on a 1 in 1000 basis for each player.

I am still not exactly sure how this works out, but it is randomized for each player, not randomized amongst all players.

That's as best as I can explain it from the information Justin has provided."
................................................................................

so I guess for every 1000 Questions a Gold or Blue screen should show up.
