WHAT'S HAPPENING TO THIS WORLD?

First the Red Sox win the World Series, and now the White Sox? What's going on?

Congrats White Sox fans...

Not just won, but won in 4 games! Good going!

Now if only the Cubbies could make it happen!

Let me play devils advocate for a second and mention one "notable moment":

Game 2 when Jermaine Dye took a base for "being hit with the ball" when replay CLEARLY indicated it was a foul tip. The grand slam that immediately followed thus has an asterisk by it in my scorecard.

By all means and measures, if the ump made that call correctly - Houston would have taken Game 2. The Sox still would have taken the series.

I am happy for the Sox, but angry at MLB for not allowing instant replay to have a role as it does in many other sports.

Of course, once you open that door, every call an umpire makes (strikes, balls, tags) is open for debate. So... nevermind.

Wish I was in Chicago tonight!

I'd like to add in my congratulations to ALL the US teams who, so far, have made it a clean sweep of WORLD series titles for your country. You must be so proud that since it's inauguration in (I believe) 1903 I see that no team from outside the US has even made the World Series!

Btw - I am joking (in a sarcastic way of course), please no flaming )

I agree that the "World" Series is a little lacking on world-wide participation.

With that being said, the Toronto Blue Jays won the world series in 1992 & 1993.

Toronto is in Canada.

I believe the Red Sox last year and the White Sox this year must have something in common with all the hurricanes, earthquakes and tsunamis. It's a sign! Repent! LOL

A wise man once said,
"The Cubs will win the series when we find the cures to cancer, aids and hiccups!"

All I can say is, those research scientist better get their rears in gear!

Ok...Ron...that really made me laugh and I am going to use that one at work.

The only thing that would make me happier than the Sox winning...is the Cubs winning...and then the Bears winning...

OOPS...sorry got delusional again.
