I am spending my time trying to come up with a quiz topic. I have spend almost 30 min going through several topics and then dismissing each of them. Can someone help!
Should we have a list of suggested topics which we can use to create quizzes, and I mean real topics, something you are really interested in. I can do a topic on almost anything, but I am being serious, please give some ideas of things that you want to see the quiz on. Our time is very valuable, this list would help.
An more ideas here?

How about the TV show Friends?

lol...Just kidding.

I'll advise you as I would any writer: what do you know? What is your passion?

Any other writing is work

Hi Simon,

I see from your profile that you're an orthodontist. How about the funniest things your patients have ever said to you?

Thanks, Ken. You have just gave me an idea. I talk to my patients about this all the time, and not just about Friends characters. You will see.
By the way, please do not mention my work anymore. I am trying to relax here.

Oh, how about this? When Isabelle Dinoire from France became the first person to receive a partial face transplant, what was involved to make it successful?

Kaufman, you're thinking about that Friends quiz, I can tell.

Don't do it! Lodi will kill you. She said so.

Isn't there a Forum on BBS Chat where people ask
for topics they would like to see in a quiz?

Ken actually said he would do a Friends quiz if I double dog dared him. I'm not there yet.

Hi Simon! Maybe you could run over to Kelly's on the 22nd and do a quiz on all the different stages of horror she goes through upon awaking and finding out she's just turned 40.

Picking a quiz topic is really simple. Look out the window as you travel, pick an object and start thinking about it, then google it and you have the quiz. Examples: trees, dogs, fire fighters, children, birds, sky scenes, gasses, people going to eat, restaurants, food, movies, tv programs ... there is no need to continue. However, the information we reorganize is only popular if we do it well.

I was interested in a few museums when I traveled and managed to write about each. Very few cared. One way to succeed in the quiz world at Sploofus is to take the quizzes with the highest number of takers. Surprise, these are usually well written about something people care about.

I think that the quiz part of Sploofus is the best attribute. However, I am also clear that TQOTD, wordpuzzles etc. can be favs of other members and maybe I am not so influenced because I am not as good at them. Seriously, I think you have written many good quizzes and should continue in that vain. However, you should also branch out to topics that interest you and see if you would like to write a new one.

There are several great writers on this site including Tuzilla, Maurlin, Surreyman, Garrybl, Vicrowe, Kaufamn, Iautah, Lodi, Kelly and many more. Take their quizzes, write down ideas for more and move out.

In bridge there are 34,000,000,000 possible hands and no one will ever play them all. If you start now, you will not finish (over 1,000,000 now) quizzes on this site, ever (like Chinese marching by) so you have a great source of fresh material. In addition to improving on the previous quiz, I predict that just observing, without going to the library will earn you more ideas than you have time to implement. Just a thought, Allena

Allena there is not 1,000,000 quizzes, there are 1,000,000 questions. That include tqotd and I am on a (slow) mission to answer all the questions. lol

My best ideas come to me around 2am as I'm a latenight kinda girl, you'll be laying in bed trying to get to sleep and all of a sudden you'll be hit with a great idea. Write about what you know, is what most say, otherwise get your dictionary out or a Guiness Book of World Records or a World Almanac or my favorite, Uncle John's Bathroom Reader and you'll get lots of ideas. Have fun !!! Cathy
