My membership has just expired and being too distract with other things, I forgot to renew.

And one day I have recieved this message:

"Your Sploofus Membership has just expired. We hope that you are enjoying Sploofus and will renew your GOLD or PLATINUM membership!
Thank you for your continued support, "

This does not feel very much like a family that we think Sploofus is. Too dry, sounds like a note from a phone service carrier or an insurance agency which is trying to keep an old account.

It is just my opinion. Thank you.

I have always been fortunate enough to renew mine ahead of time, so have never received that type of note. I thought I had read where Sploofus sends a message prior to the expiration as a reminder. The first note may have been a little warmer, friendlier and not so dry. Maybe you missed it or maybe I just don't know what I'm talking about. I'm sure someone else will have an opinion.

I don't really see a problem. I don't think it really needs to sound like it's coming from our mothers or best friends. This may be a "family" but it is also a web site and with all the other things that are available here I think worrying about a rote expiration notice being unpersonal is at the bottom of the list.

That's how I feel. Sploofus has a bajillion members, so some functions of the site have to be that way. The personal touches come elsewhere.

I have always gotten a renewal notice. For those sploofusers that have not renewed recently, I was thrilled that we could renew for a year instead of six months.

Oh Simon...we all love you and glad you are here at Sploofus! Now, don't you feel all warm and fuzzy?
