Now that I just upgraded my account, I have two questions: how does the wager token thingy work and where do you find it?

I see people sometime post links to other sites. How do you do that? (Revealing my computer ignorance)

OK, so that was three questions!

You receive a wager token everytime you reach a new level. When you have a token (you can check your Command Center if you are not sure whether you have one), you have the opportunity to gamble that you will answer your question of the day correctly. When you get TQOTD, you check the "Wager on this question" box. Sploofus will tell you how many points you will be risking. If you decide to go ahead with the wager and get the answer correct, you gain that many points. If you answer incorrectly, you lose that number of points--and any steps you may have gained within your level. (If you are at level 2.9 and answer incorrectly, you fall back to level 2.0.) Most people wait until they are at a new level and then hold off answering questions until their favorite category of question turns up. You have up to 14 days to answer any TQOTD. So you can wait for "Music" or "Sports" or whatever your forte is, play your wager, and then go back and answer all your unanswered questions. You can also link to them from the Command Center.

To link to another site, just copy and past the URL from the top of the screen. When you are typing your post, it does not look like a link, but it is turned into one as the message is posted.

Hi Koozbane!

When you do your TQOTDs (Daily Questions), before you click on the long orange button you will see above it an option to place a wager in the *tick* box.

If you feel confident with the category, and would like to increase your a bet!
If you have ticked the box, you will get another window in which to actually stipulate the amount of points you are wagering, BEFORE the question comes up.

How big a wager you place depends on your own degree of judicious recklessness!
Ten percent of what you have already is a safe bet, twenty-five percent a bit bolder, fifty percent is a nail-biter!

Remember, if you get the question wrong, you WILL lose those points.

Most of all, enjoy the thrill, it's heady stuff when you get a win!

Cheers, Bev

Ahh, Bev--yours was the better answer. I always go for broke and wager the max points I can--so I totally forgot that one has the option of choosing a lower number! Duh!
