Who in the sam hill came up with those "household" 12 letter words for todays puzzle. We never heard of a single one of them that we had. I guess sploofus is for geniuses and not for the common everyday person - maybe it is time for us common people to leave this site and give it up to the smarter people of the world - that seems to be the way it is heading. Good-bye

Sorry you fel that way.
I wonder if they did this just to trip up the 'cheaters'.
I mean vacuum cleaner is 13 letters, so they couldn't use that one.
I was happy to see a quiz that couldn't be googled or researched on.
Give me more!! More even playing ground!

I think "household words" was a bit tongue-in-cheek.
I think it was a good change of pace but I knew I had no chance of being in the Top Ten on this one!

Yeah, I use these words in my household all the time. NOT!

I originally thought it was household appliances.

Good quiz...

It was fun and I did bad...of course I had two kids running around the computer as I was playing it!
I guess you just can't please everyone. People want puzzles that people can't search on....then they get them and complain about how tough they are.

I was out last night and missed the WordPuzzle. What were the answers?

I think I shorted myself. I did fill-in to get the most points after I sputtered on the first word. I probably would have been in the 30's. oh well...points is points.

I enjoyed that - even though I only knew one word before trying umpteen million letters - lol! It was definitely a challenge. I like the mix in the word puzzles lately. I think we might have to steal Forrest Gump's quote: Word puzzles are like a box of chocolates. You never know what you are going to get!

It wasn't the fact that it was 12 letter words, but it said "HOUSEHOLD" 12 letter words. I never have used any of the 5 ones we had around the house - I don't know what type of household used the words we had.

Yeah, it didn't take me long to figure out "household" was a bit tongue-in-cheek. I thought it was a fun puzzle. No complaints here.

*whew* I'm glad I'm not the only person who was literally trying to think of ITEMS IN MY HOUSE that fit the puzzle. =)
I felt very silly after I got the first one.

Yeah, I kept waiting for refrigerator. I tried "r" first in all 5 puzzles.
