The only problem I perceive Cathyincayman is if all 20,000 plus Sploofusers send you a question they are out .41 cents in postage, if you respond to all 20,000 plus you're out over $8000.00 dollars, and unless you send them all the same question you better start making them up now.

Of course in reality that scenerio would probably never come to pass. Rocco

Hmmmm. Sorry to sound like a party pooper, but we DO have the internet. I like the folksiness of the idea, but to me this sounds like global communication coming full circle back to snail mail.

Well, I love postcards and I love stamps. We know where we all stand on trivia.

I also love traveling by train, and my dream is to cross the ocean on a sailing ship, so old technology has charm for me.

Trivial postcards on the way!

Do you also want the answer to the question on the postcard?

Here's an idea, don't write the answer on the postcard, I'll contact you through Sploofus when I get your card and give you the answer, you do the same when you get my postcard, that way we know that the card made it. I'm an activities director, so I have LOTS of great trivia questions, and feel free to add a nice note too, I'll post the cards on the wall of the time-share I work at so others can enjoy the cards you send! Cathy remember to check your postage as it's international!

I went back and re-read the original posting - sure glad I read it before I put it in the mail. Gotta write the trivia question on it.

Hey Cathy I got the postcards for you and Dyenamite and they are addressed and ready to go. Now I just need to get them stamped. I'll clip them to my camera bag, which goes with me everywhere so I'll be prepared to mail them.

Hope you got a few more cards than the last time you posted. We all have good intentions but we are busy and tend to forget things that aren't nipping at our heels for immediate attention. We certainly mean no disrespect.

Anyway, watch for my card one of these days!

Hey Donna, I crossed the Atlantic twice and did the Caribbean when Castro got us mad. Doing it with diesel power was hard enough. Depending on wind and sails has to be a real task.

Hey Cathy, you'd better sit down. I actually put your post card and trivia question in the mail today! usually I misplace things and then it's months later I find it and try to figure out what I was doing with it. So the card is on its way.

Post cards are great. But if only there were a way we could all communicate....I don't know, in real time....through a series of magical networks somehow....

ah! Me and my dreaming.........

Ah yes, Whippersnapper Grasshopper, spoken like one who has never known, or has long forgotten, the treasure of the hand-written word -- not to mention a pretty stamp.

So I mailed my postcard via the Postal Service. I trust you will send Cathy a picture postcard through this magical network called ... oh, I don't know, perhaps we could call it the Internet.

I bet Cathy will be pleased either way.
