GOING AGAINST THE POPULAR OPINION.

I have had some conversations about interesting topics and really well written quizzes, even EA, which have very few takers due to non-popularity of the subject.

I would like to write a quiz on a topic that you think would be very unpopular or unusual and see how many takers it has.
I am pretty sure I can come up with some ideas, but let see what the vox populi would suggest.

Thank you.

You could try a quiz about well known singers from the past and from another culture such as "La Bolduc" (famous French Canadian Singer from the 30's) or an well known singer such as "Kate Smith". Perhaps a quiz on a long forgotten singer from a differnt genre other than Popular music. Pehaps a quiz on my favorite artist "Keith Green" Christian contemporary.

Perhaps a quiz on a terrible or obscure movie such as "Heaven's Gate" or "Stay On Till Morning".

Another winner may be to translate Latin words into English.

How about a quiz on Tidley Winks or Hurling?

If I don't have to cook or clean anymore, then I'll go willingly.

Florence Foster Jenkins?
Baggiob never came through with his promised quiz on the subject!

I can imagine any quiz on a truly technical subject (C++and I'm yawning already)

I could do a quiz on the cardgame bridge but only about five people would take it -- and I dont blame them.

Price Waterhouse -- in fact anything to do with accountancy! (An ex-employer of mine)

Beetles or molluscs would not get my pulse going.

In fact now I come to think about it its hard to imagine an interesting quiz!

I would take a bridge quiz.

I have done 5 quizzes with less then 30 takers

Victorian advertising trading cards - 10

A quiz about the story/movie a boy and his dog - 13

Ten questions on Bowling For Soup songs - 19

History of the fur trade - 21

Tilt: a quiz on the history of pinball - 26

And the fur trade one got an editor's choice

Re quizzes on bridge.
Watch out for the Nov. community qauizzes. I've written about bridge players.
Juliuscaesar (another lurking expert) also has a quiz about bridge players I think.

Darn it, my CQ is also bridge-themed! Hopefully, we didn't copy each other's questions.

Machiabelly, please tell me where the 'A boy and his dog' quiz is or who wrote it.

I would take a bridge quiz, though I only played a little, a long time ago.

Stone, Machiabelly wrote the quiz. Click on his name above and then on "Take My Quizzes" on his profile page. Then just look for the title you want.

Ken

The bridge quizzes appear to have zero overlap; a good thing I guess!

Both Ken and Barry have fine quizzes, worthy of anyone with the slightest bridge interest. Both are learning experiences.

I agree that bridge is not a real popular subject: mine has 30 takers after about 2 years on the board ...

Kaufman got 100% and it is only rated with two stars. I could have written a sequel but the popular demand discouraged any more. More fun to write about Harry!
