So, what's up for Halloween? Do you guys decorate inside/outside, do the pumpkin thing? So far, we have a Michael Myers pumpkin, and I have a request from my little monster to do Jack & Sally (Nightmare Before Christmas). She is 4, and will be Catwoman this year.

I decorate inside and outside. My outside with a costume, and my inside with candy.

I'm in an apartment, so no porch pumpkins or trick-or-treaters. We usually spend it watching horror movies.
I live near the Castro in S.F., (Halloween there is our biggest celebration), in a spot that's excellent for costume-watching, but not so great for the hours after when you're trying to sleep with hundreds of loud drunk people outside your window.
I've learned to take Nov. 1st off of work. =)

I have a terrific costume I might just wear to school this year (for those who don't me, I am a high school drama teacher!).

I am also an "unwed mother"...sooooo...

My costume is an old bridesmaid dress that's been shredded and splattered with [fake] blood! I carry around a [fake] meat cleaver, and when anyone asks me what I am, I give my best maniacal facial expression and scream...

lol suzer. That is hilarious! I plan to sit at the end of the driveway to hand out candy. The doorbell drives my idiot dog, Roxie, insane, so this saves my sanity and hers. I have a beware sign that lights up and screams when people walk by. It's fun, cuz it's always the grownups who jump. The kids are immune.

Frog suit...I think I saw a commercial like that once...

We go all out for Halloween, being the deviants we are. Our family friend comes over and we decorate the outside for 2 days at least, with complete cemetery, including a "fresh" grave or 2, fog machines, various spooks and things hiding in the trees, a ghost on a wire that sails past your head if you get within a few feet of it,various scattered bones/body parts, about 15 Jack-O-Lanterns in the yard, and our friend dresses like Michael Myers, and stands near the end of the driveway. He will stand there so long that folks start to think it's just a prop. When they get all the way up the driveway, he walks up behind them.
It's quite funny, the parents scream and freak out more than the kids. We usually have around 300+ trick or treaters. A few in the neighborhood will stop by and ask if we're doing Halloween each year.
It's fun. I'm sure I forgot a few things we do, but I'm not over the frog suit yet. Spit my MDew all over the laptop.

We decorate--pumpkin decorations ("Scary pumpkin monster," my son says)in the window, skeleton on the door, and a few fresh pumpkins out front.

After my hubby and I walk baby Darth Vader around, we'll probably sit on the porch and hand out candy--we get over a hundred trick or treaters!

Should be a good night. Everyone be safe and eat lots!
