I see upcoming NASCAR puzzles - I think Smoke is going to smoke us!

Got a kick out it when I saw the upcoming puzzles - I bet I know where she shows up!

GL Smoke - since I've already missed so many puzzles this month I'm probably going to opt out - don't think I could take being "smoked" so badly!

Oh, be a sport! If I can struggle through Harry Potter and come out with 3800 points, you can suffer through a little vroom vroom. And I haven't even mentioned the puns! If they want to neutralize me, they can always do NASCAR puns.

We'll see - for the first time ever I even quit in the middle of a puzzle earlier this week - I'm just not "ON" like I usually a rut

I will TRY!

Attagirl. That's all any of us can ask - or do.

How about we just BLOW UP Smoke
and her damn Nascar Questions!!!!

That's hurtful. I've never suggested blowing up any Potter fans. Or anyone.

Everyone can just relax. The NASCAR puzzles are gone and I fervently hope they never come back. I can live without the puzzles AND the negativity.

Donna, I know nothing about Nascar. Not an interest of mine but maybe someday I'll check it out. I, for one, don't care for the way someone insults you for being passionate about it. Totally rude and uncalled for.

I think Rowlanda was kidding!

That's the way I read it.

Donna, I grew up watching NASCAR with my dad when the Allison Brothers and Richard Petty were racing. My dad raced some on a dirt track after his discharge from the Army and he always watched it. He was also into football. those times spent with my dad watching the races and football are some of my fondest memories. My oldest son is really into NASCAR and is a BIG Dale Jr. fan. personally my favorite was Dale Sr....I say bring on more of the NASCAR puzzles and throw in some football while you are at it!

Of course Rowlanda was kidding. I guess the humor has worn a bit thin for me on this. People do get oversensitive and defensive about things they love when they feel they're being attacked. Repeatedly. For two days.

I'm over it now.

Yes, Vickie, those were some great rivalries "back in the day". I was in the Petty camp. I know so well what you mean about sharing good times. We're a 3-generation family of race fans, everyone has a different favorite driver and we've have week-to-week wager pools and lots of good-natured rivalries. My kids and grandkids have all grown up in it. When they were younger I used to own a dirt track team in Pennsylvania, and the whole family was involved. Now that we all live so far apart, one of the first things we think of when we can get together is what races we can be together for. We call each other before every race to wish luck and safety, and if one of us wins, all the others have to call with congrats. It's a wonderful family sport, and the drivers are great role models. I can't even imagine what it would be like not to have all that.

Cheers, everyone.

I'm sorry I was an instigator. I'll give it a rest.

I've only just now read this thread. I am SINCERELY SORRY that
I added to your problems. I WAS only kidding, and also think that
just about everyone was good-naturedly kidding you. Not to hurt.
Being a joker myself....I do know exactly what you were feeling
because I too have been the brunt of "mass joking" at various
times. Then it feels like an onslaught....
I noticed that the second one was withdrawn, and thought at the
time that it was all a stunt!!!! They and you never meant to have
2 Nascar puzzles - and you were as surprised as us about the FIRST.
I did the Puzzle and quite enjoyed it. As with most of these puzzles
I had to fill it in letter by letter. So didn't hold it against
you....Didn't actually care!!!!
I apologize to you Smoke, without reservation.

I know, honey. It's okay. I don't know what the hell was going on with the puzzles but I'm glad you enjoyed it, and I'm glad it's over.

We're 100% fine.

Swiper...."Rude and Uncalled for" is your department NOT mine.
I have never ever been violent in any anyone....
Being 5 foot nothing....I'd be an idiot to go that route.
And I'm far from being an idiot.

I don't think she meant you, dear. It's all good, and I'd take it as a personal favor if we could all just drop it and move on. Okay?

Darn! I was hoping Smoke would show us this 'Pole Position' she's always talking about.

I didn't know Smoke is a Pole Dancer????

Oh Donna - (Ritchie Valens soundtrack in the back of this message)

I am sorry this started something that made you feel bad - that was most definitely NOT my intention - it's hard to believe something that started in fun and as a COMPLIMENT for what I knew would be your niche, made you feel bad.

This didn't start it, honey, this finished it. Don't give it another thought. All is well.
