TRAVEL ENQUIRY

Have any of you been to Taipei, Taiwan? What was your opinion of the place, and how was the food?

The food in Taipei, Taiwan is a melting pot of Chinese cuisines because of the way it was formed when Chaing Kei Shek and his followers arrived there. You can find any style. The seafood, of course, is a strong suit. The only thing I can think of that does do it for me is the Taiwanese style of fried dumplings. They are much better oon the mainland.

Stop, stop, Tuzilla. It is immoral, perhaps illegal, to mention fried dumplings in front of hungry people. Where can I find some --quick?

Try the New Garden, 400 South Grand.

Thanks Tuz......I have a 20-hour stopover in Taipei ahead of me, and was wondering about the food and general ambience of the place.

Be careful. I hear people from that area are extremely perfectionist and prone to fits of high blood pressure and rage. Well, as opposed to tai bee.

Just trying to be helpful.
