She was a quiet, unassuming woman, who always had time for others. She'll be missed.

Yes, I did. You might mention that is not Rosa Parks in the picture .

I've been there & saw it.

"Mother Parks, take your rest." Well deserved. A simple act of personal courage and a refusal to be subjugated helped galvanize one of the--perhaps just THE--most important movement of our time. She will be sorely missed, for sure. But as the quote says, she deserves her rest now after a job very, very well done.

She's resting in the arms of the angels now...
Her work down here is done.
She will be missed.

There should be more people like her who did not violently stand up for what was right - but unfortunately we have too many that think they have to act violently to do it - she was a great example - maybe now that she is gone - some people will remember why and how she did what she did.

She did a great thing and I only hope I would have half her courage in that situation.

However, I think we do a diservice to our young people by portraying her as a sweet old women who was fed up.

She was actually an activist. Personally I think that is much more impressive when you look at what was going on in her home state at the time. Activism isn't something to be ashamed of.

But I wish there were more like her. Whatever she was.
