27 moves, and I guessed two without any clues, and I had 4 idiotic three point penalties, two due to putting in punctuation in the guess. arggghhh..

Easily could have been 8 or 9. The last question defies research, tho.....

You do realize the last question is different for everyone, right? There are more than 5 puzzles...and we all get a randomly generated mix of only 5 of them. I'm not sure how many total there are, but I've always suspected probably 10. That is part of the scoring discrepancy sometimes. Some puzzles are trickier than others.

Had one with clue of 'short story' which I think is actually a 'novel': anyone else experienced this? Andy.

I realize the questions are scrambled. I was talking to myself.

I guess it is okay to talk to yourself. It is probably okay to even do it out loud in public. The question becomes two. First, do you answer back. Second, if you get into an argument, who usually wins.

I adored this....I have EVERY single one of her books....even the ones written under another name........I have read some of them 4 to 5 times......saw the longest running play in London......I went into a slump when she passed away. Fabulous author...IF you like mysteries!

Both of the puzzles I had that said 'short stories" were indeed "short stories," but of course there are other puzzles I didn't see. But everything I saw checked out just fine.

Was doing very well until my last one, which the clue was "quote" Geeez that did it for me.
Fun puzzle though.
