Sploofusionist. If I had his/her address I would send a membership to the Jelly of the Month Club.

Congrats! But wasn't sleeping with him/her enough? You want to send jelly, too?

I'm hoping you're only using the him/her to protect his/her identity.

Wait a minute...you have to sleep with Sploofusionist to get an EA?

Okay - I took the quiz and officially want to be an editor now - I finally got my first EA for my Whose Phobia is it anyway quiz - which took several months to write - and was all thrilled but I can't afford the bribes Chick is offering to get a 2nd one - but I can afford to take them!

This thread has taken an unexpected turn, as expected.

Just not sure how Chick got involved. She's in Mexico.

The best way to bribe editors is not to put unnecessary apostrophes in subject lines.

Luckily, most of us have short memories.

Doesn't "editor's" have an apostrophe? Isn't it necessary?

I meant as in Editor's Awards...not in "editors can be bribed"...

....never mind!

I just saw this. It could be with or sans apostrophe, depending on the use.

An Editors Award is the name of an award from editors, given by a group of editors.
An Editor's Award, probably editor's award, is an award given by a particular editor.
An Editors' Award, possibly editors' award, is an award given by multiple editors.

We could call it an Editors' Award, but I like it sans apostrophe. I makes it more the possession of the author, than us.

At least, that is my take on it. Maybe it is just the Scotch fountain talking, or the peeled grapes are overripe.

Now sort out something belong to a group of people holding the same post once held by Janet Reno and Alberto Gonzales.

This has been five successive Attorneys General's desk.

...and, the award is officially called Editor's Award, as if you didn't know.

""The best way to bribe editors is not to put unnecessary apostrophes in subject lines."""
