CLICK THE GOOGLE ADS...IT JUST TAKES A SECOND.

I've got in the habit of clicking on the Google ad banner at the bottom of the page when I log in since the demise of the hated banners. I let the site load and hit the back button. It only takes a second to click and hopefully help bring in a little revenue to help support Sploofus. If everybody would get in the habit of clicking the ad banner it would help avoid another banner debacle in the future. Just a suggestion.

As a computer advertising dummy, would somebody please enlighen me as to how it all works? If I click on the google ad below, does Sploofus (the wonder-Justin) benefit?? Extra dollars I can't find, but a few seconds to click an ad I most certainly can!

The way I always understood banners was that they're pay per click to the site owner. I could be (and often am) mistaken.

Better yet, an answer straight from the horse's mouth, or possible the Google Adsense page.

How much will I earn through this program?

The Google ads you are able to display on your content pages can be either cost-per-click (CPC) or cost-per-1000-impressions (CPM) ads, while AdSense for search results pages show exclusively CPC ads. This means that advertisers pay either when users click on ads, or when the advertiser's ad is shown on your site. You'll receive a portion of the amount paid for either activity on your website. Although we don't disclose the exact revenue share, our goal is to enable publishers to make as much or more than they could with other advertising networks.

The way I read it, every click helps.

This is a great idea. Click often, then go back and click again. It only takes a couple of seconds per click.
