Hi Kim!
Welcome to Sploofus! It's easy to get started. I see that you've already found the BBS Chat. Jump in and try a quiz. Click on the WordRounds link and try a round or two ... or ten ... Watch it! They're addictive! While you're there, stop in the WordRound Shout and say Hello.

Once you feel comfortable, try writing a quiz on your particular area of expertise (vampires?) and try to Sploof us! Check out the Sploofus Quiz Author's Guide to give you a leg up:

It's great to have you on Sploofus Island! Most of all, have fun.

oh dear, what an opening for some nonsense! First, there are a couple you have to watch out for - Texlewee and Smaug. You just never know what is going to happen with those two loose on the chat. One thing for sure, it most likely won't be boring. Especially if Eesusbejesus gets in the middle of things!

Not sure just what advice you need. But I'll share a few basic ideas I've learned.

All you have to do is read through the various threads, I usually just read the most recent ones, and if you find something you want to comment on, you click on "post a response to this thread" then add your comments and click post message. Warning: If you want to make reference to a current word puzzle, make sure you wait until that puzzle is closed (the puzzles are changed at 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Eastern Time).

The best advice is to just read through the threads to get a feel for what goes on and then jump in and join the gang. Reading through the threads will also give you some tips on where to find information, rules, guidelines, etc.

So, what's on your mind today?

hi Kim.. welcome to the wonderful world of sploofus.

anything can happen here in chat; from discussing cleaning out the underwear drawer to sharing sympathies when a member has a bad day because of lost points, lost jobs or lost love ones..

we share the triumphs too; like local high school bands making their families proud, international sports fans bragging about their fave team, or completing a word puzzle in the least moves.

so jump right in

i hope you enjoy 'the sploofus island'

Hmmm. Almost makes me sound like a troublemaker. Which I am not. I'm actually, shy, polite, and introverted. Much like Smaug & Tex.

But they can speak for themselves. As soon as they get out of detention.

Spreading cheer,

Hi Kim and Welcome. All of us have different ways of enjoying the site; you'll soon find your fit. For me it is WordPuzzles; others are WordRound addicts. Some of us write quizzes, some of us don't. It's best to ask a specific question, if you have one.

Ask a question around here, and you will get 15 replies that make sense, and 17 that sound like someone had their head underwater. Well, maybe they did. Maybe it's better underwater!

However you look at it, it'll be fun -
