very nice and enjoyable...except that on THREE separate occasions I produced a chain that worked fine except it was wrong (one unconfirmable letter turned out wrong).
OIh well I could have wasted 100 points by a right/wrong guess but thought "i knew. Maybe next time!

Always the risk, Barry. I suffered through the same where there were alternative ways from here to there. You need to play these somewhat conservatively ...

Ouch! Thought that was very clever, but tough.

When I get the chains that have several different routes you could take, I generally just pick one and go for it. If you're wrong - well, everyone has a high score on these WPs. =) But if you're right - woohoo! (I guessed several right on this one, but I was wrong 3 times on the same puzzle!)

I also spent a good 10 minutes staring at my first puzzle, thinking that ALL the words were supposed to be countries, and wondering if it was possible that I was really that bad at Geography.

(Really fun btw. Hope we'll get more!)

Yes, I thought the same thing, and wondered how many countries there were with
only three/four letters in the name!!!! Finally decided to just plug in letters
and see what occured....
I did think it was fun though, like the multi-dimensional puzzles....

It was fun, but there were so many various routes to take you to the same place. I lost 21 points to 7 guesses that fit, but were wrong. But, like I said, it was a fun challenge.

I thought it was really tricky & thought I'd done very poorly. Surprise, surprise, I finished second. I almost fell off the chair. Guess everyone else, found it tricky too
Good puzzle, but don't give us another, too soon.

I REALLY enjoyed it - but had the problem of thinking I KNEW what one series must be and then realizing I was wrong...several times. But the one that got me was the totally superfluous step that took us from 'Peru' to 'per' via the word 'perm' (which I though should have been 'perk'), but was unnecessary either way. GRRRR.
