SO STINKING LONG !!!!

What ever happened to the nice WPs that were less than a paragraph per page?

These last two made my tiny brain bleed. When I open a word puzzle and it has more than 30 letters a page, it makes me scream. I haven't the patience for this these novelettes.

I agree. I get a headache with some. I actually forgot to type a word today!

Liked it I'm searching for my skipping rope & thinking of happy memories, though a couple were new to me. Men would probably have a tough time with this puzzle. Go girlfriends

I noticed RANDY....the top 13 scorers were women!!!!
And the men were pretty sparse even after that !!!!
Pay them back for all those Sports thingies....

Rev66 do you know that you get the 4600 points
you earned - AS WELL AS the extra 200+ you mentioned????

now here's another good reason for being a substitute teacher yrs ago in pre-k and kindergarten. i think i loved recess as much as they did! they games they played certainly helped me do this puzzle.

Oh, come off it - talk about a spoilt kid! If you can't manage to type 80-odd characters on a screen to complete a puzzle, what are you doing on a words-based quiz/puzzle site?!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this Word Puzzle, and I do with most others that are longer, too, because I find them easier to complete without losing points - you're much less likely to choose common letters and find they're not there in these puzzles, and if they're in proper English sentences they're a lot easier to guess - for me anyway.

Sploofus caters for all preferences (fortunately) - not just those who complain the most! - and I'm sure there'll be lots of short ones coming up, anyway - as well as the longer ones I prefer.

I was surprised that I knew these as well as I did. I was a tomboy who didn't jump rope or play the silly clapping games. I had my purple nerf football and my baseball mitt with me most days.

I didnt skip rope. I roped cattle. And as far as the catering.... WHy not just have a WP that quotes the entire first chapter of an obscure novel??? We'll all guess it someday.....

Enjoyed this one - brought back fond memories of my now 16 year old daughter when I taught her some of them - got to number 5 and just blew it - didn't have a clue - still never heard of it - but managed to jumble through it with points intact...didn't get one I was thinking would be there - but bet someone else did

Tex - I bet there are some cattle roping rhymes we could come up with just for you - that take place near a bar while drinking scotch --

There once was a Tex that caught cows with a lasso. Now he just sits and drinks Scotch by the glasso.

I'm the opposite of you, Beryl. You mentioned that longer ones are "easier to complete without losing points". That would be cool with me if I worked puzzles merely for points. I work them because I like word games. I find that some of the long ones are more of a typing contest than something to work out and solve. My favorite puzzles are those in which skill rather than mere guessing play a large part (those TEND to be not as long, though not always).
