TURKDUCKEN

With the uniquely American holiday of Thanksgiving just around the corner, some of you may be looking for an alternative to Turkey...

TURKDUCKEN!

And you can learn just how to make this epicurean delight from Eesusbejesus's eponymous quiz...

I've just done that quiz and recommend it to anyone who isn't a cook
and/or hates turkey....if you make this for your company, they'll
think you took a Gourmet Cooking course!!!! Thank you Lodi....

Turns out I get to make it this Thanksgiving as well. Thanks all for the hit list mention. It will be fun to see how many others make it and we'll compare notes afterwards.

I may try it for Christmas but I get out of Thanksgiving by virtue of having a mother-in-law within Thanksgiving driving distance.

My grandparents immigrated to the U.S. from Turduckistan, where these birds were first bred and raised. They spent several years trying to increase the reproduction rate of the birds so they could open a restaurant chain. They were mostly unsuccessful, but the boneless, featherless, headless chickens they created were bought up by a smooth talker in a white suit who used them to create his own chain of restaurants.

I'm not feeling very clever tonight. I know. I can't believe it either! So I'll let the tur-dork-ens on yahoo figure it out on their own.
