Just checked my latest quiz - which took me quite a while to write - was moving along nicely with an average of about 8.4 - 8.5 - which made me feel good - I knew it would never high up because it's a more difficult and thought provoking topic but I see only two have taken today - and am pretty sure it was not the first one - but one obviously rated VERY low as it dropped a full percentage point...I know it is useless to ask but WHY do people tank quizzes because they don't do well - makes me want to just stick to my fun but simple movie / music / tv quizzes - at least they get more test takers - and they usually rate high because they aren't that difficult

Ok - off soap box and done whining

I think part of the problem is the scale on the ratings where a 5 is "Decent." New members don't get any explanation of how to rate quizzes--and it usually takes a while for Newbies to find their way to the BBS Chats where the topic does get discussed from time to time. There is no explanation that you are not supposed to rate how you did on the quiz, so I can see where someone who didn't know better would rate a quiz "Awful" (1) if they had done very poorly on it. I'm hoping that there is a more realistic description on the rating scale next time around.
