AM I THE ONLY NERD WHO GETS WORKED UP OVER AN IMPENDING TRIVIA WAGER?

I am not sure why it gets to me since it's only a game (!) but as I hit that "display my trivia question" button on a wager I feel practically faint. Heart pounding, pulse racing...
Please say I'm not the only nutcase here.
:D

No, Tracy, I think you're the only nutcase.

I'm kidding, of course. Since I've missed my last two wagers, I've begun to be a bit anxious, too.

You better not miss any, though, or I'm gonna catch up to you.

This post must be the most encouraging thing I have ever read! Just this morning I was wondering if wagers offer any intrinsic value to the Sploofus experience...

And now my question is answered! Thank you!

Oh they definitely add purpose to this site! I love the trivia questions and will go through withdrawl if I cannot get to them the first thing in the morning!

Omg, the entertainment I get from this site... absolutely incredible! lol You are not a nutcase or a nerd... well, not based on the criteria you provided, anyway. Now, I, on the other hand, have more friends online than off, tell those online friends more than I tell anybody else, and can't tell a spatula from a pancake flipper (I'm told there is a difference...) but can decipher 99% of the smileys and abbreviations I see in chat rooms. (I'm working on that last 1%. Wish me luck.) I also tend to do a little dance in my computer chair when I'm trying to remember an answer to a TQOTD that I know darn well I've learned somewhere. So take comfort; there are those much worse off than you!

I'm so sorry, everyone. I don't know how I replied thrice with the same reply. I didn't even hit the "post" button more than once! Hopefully Sploofus can fix my mistake, but until then, I apologize. (Sploofus, if and when you do remove the extras, feel free to remove this also, as it will no longer be necessary. So sorry! Thanx.)

I get so excited when I decide to make a wager. Palms sweaty, fingers trembling, talking to myself and then I push the button. If I happen to choose the correct answer, I jump out of my chair do a little dance with my feet and shout, Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Now if that isn't bizarre behavior, I don't know what is.

Omg, I am so scared of them lol, as I am hopeless underpressure.
I have done them and yes I do go all panicky and if I do win, I also do a little jiggle with me walking stick :D
I am as much of a nutter as the next person and damned proud of it

Certainly keep the wagers.
They're the only way I can lose 2,500,000 a time and give the rest of you a chance ........

haha good point Surreyman, so please continue to wager and start losing so some of us have a chance *wink*

Yeah I get all stressed about wagers...and showdowns too! I hate the 7 day showdown deadline cause it sits there all week and I lay awake at night staring at the ceiling and thinking "I wonder if I'll win that showdown" tee hee hee
I almost have a heart attack when it shows me how many points I'll lose on a wager, and compared to everyone else on the site, it's not even that many.
OMG! There's a difference between a spatula and a pancake flipper?!?!?! Do tell me when you find it!

You certainly are not alone in the faintness, pain, anguish, etc. felt w/respect to pressing that button on a trivia wager.......or even when possibly facing the prospect of advancing to the next level.

There are those instances where I may wait to select that particular TQotD (especially if wagaring) until I can be in quiet uninterrupted space to afford the best circumstances to reply/respond successfully. (when in actuality it's moreso to either jump in exclamation or hang my head in frustration at the outcome!!) That's what brings me back.... Thank you SPLOOFUS!
