Why is it, when you find a mop that you really like, when you go to buy a replacement mop head, there are no mop heads to be found? There are, of course, countless mops just like the one you already own, just no replacement mop heads.

Is this a conspiracy, or what?

Thanks for letting me vent/ramble.

Last spring I bought some new type skeeter repellent for the deck at Lowes. When I went back to get refills there were none and I couldn't find them anywhere. Lowes never did stock any and the snotty bimbo employee that I talked to said they would not get any. I dumped the damned things. That's called "planned obsolescence" I guess.

I'll never mop again. In the traditional sense, that is. I bought a Hoover floor cleaner and I'll never go back. It works like a steam cleaner with scrubbers, but sucks the dirty water back up off the floor.

Check for your replacement parts.

And while you're there, pick up the video "UHF". It includes, among other things, the best cinematic depiction ever of love between a man (played by Michael Richards) and his mop.

That'll teach you to go to Lo... to L L L... nope, can't type it. That'll teach you not to go to Home Depot.

Can you type "The 48 Place"?

Try finding a replacement pair of shoe laces on a good pair of Nike shoes. Shoe laces at $2.49 are available but look like wrapping twine.

Donden: I know exactly the type you're talking about! The dang things worked great, but there were no replacements. If you wanted them, you'd have to get a whole new package.

Of course, this past year, mosquitoes were waaaay down on the list of problems.
