Oh, Nancy! So sorry you're feeling sad.

If this is how he breaks up with you after 4 years, you're better off without him. I know this doesn't help much right now. A breakup is a devastatingly lonely ordeal to face.

Go outside for a while. Don't sit there and wait for him to call or show up. Buy yourself a present. Watch that movie you've been dying to see. Read the book that you haven't had time to yet. Do something that makes you feel good, even if you really don't feel like it right now. Get yourself a puppy or a kitty.

On the other hand, are you sure that he is safe? Is it possible that he got in some kind of accident or had some other misfortune befall him? In other words, did he take any of his clothes or other belongings? Did you have some kind of argument before he left?

Please feel better soon! Let us know how you're doing.

I'm sorry, Nancy, that you're sad today! I hope things get better for you. Just try and remember that sadness is only temporary. Maybe he needs some space to think or maybe this is happening for a reason for the better. Wishing you the best!

I am sorry for your loss, I hope that whatever happens you end up happier. I recently lost a friend who I worked with for 5 years and who swore she was my best friend even up to the end. But looking back on it she just used me and lied to me. I don't know why people change but they do, and so must we.

Nancy, I'm sorry to hear you are sad, and hope there can be some reconciliation.
In the meantime, keep busy and think positive thoughts. Take one day at a time and make the most of it.....positive thinking achieves great things.......try it!

In the meantime, I just posted a joke to "Trivial Tangents" that I hope will make you laugh. There is another post from me a few days ago called "Cute" may enjoy that'un as well. I have posted a few others there too.

Cheers, Bev

Nancy, it's horrible to deal with a break up any time but during the holiday season must be especially hard.

you have been given some great advice so far.

my suggestion would be to volunteer at a mission,a soup kitchen or check with other local charities to see if you can put your talents to use. by helping others you just may discover you've helped yourself and turned a sad time into something rewarding.

best of luck to you.

Geez, what a bunch of bleedin hearts. If that's how he breaks up with you after living together, I say forget the bum. Hoist a couple of Tequilas with some pals tonight, toast your future and realize you're better off without him. By all means mourn the loss, but embrace the future as well. Of course that's just one man's opinion.

I heard Smaug is looking for a girlfriend.............

So, to ease the pain, remember, it could be worse.... You could be Smaug's girlfriend.

So sorry Nancy. When I had a really devastating break up my friends made me watch Doris Day movies and I was able to laugh. Go out and rent "Pillow Talk" oor "Glass Bottom Boat" and be mindless.
