I CHEAT

That's right, I have been cheating. Cheating on sploofus....with another web site! While I spend most of my inter-web time on Sploofus, I have also become a bestcrosswords.com addict. You all should give it a try, there are competitive and member made crosswords. My favorite are the ones with "cryptic" clues.

Do any of you cheat on sploofus with another site? Any recommendations?

we have to establish a 12-step program to cope with this crippling addiction.

I play the games on msn.com. I love Text Twist.

I'm looking forward to 2.0 and any new games it might bring.

I'm completely unfamiliar with this 2.0, a sploofus upgrade, I assume. Do you know any of the possible new features, Lodi?

There was a post about it months ago but its been too long for me to remember any of it. Other than I think it mentioned the return of Who Am I? We used to have this game on here that was really fun. It was like a reverse puzzle. The picture was entirely covered with little squares and one by one, the squares were removed to show a small piece of the picture. You typed it in who you thought it was. It was really fun and even funnier to see some of the guesses.

We also had a sort of "Name that Tune" where there would be a little snippet of a song that played and then we had to guess what it was. Also fun but both games were very short-lived. Which was unfortunate because everyone LOVED them.

that was weird. anywho, that does sound like fun! I'm a big text twist nerd, too. You can get on a roll and it will suddenly be 3:00am. Anyone else have an "other site"? I don't want to talk about censorship or cheating or mean people for a minute.

I'm a 7 year member of pogo - so in actuality I'm cheating on pogo with sploofus - but pogo got rid of my favorite multi-teamed word game called word riot - so sploofus fulfills that hole - and they got rid of it A LONG time ago!

I play Text Twist too, but on either iwon.com or gamesville.com, which both also have some other pretty good games. Just last night out of shear boredom I also tried out a new trivia site advertised right here on Sploofus -- triviamania.com -- very, very cool too.

How many times do I have to say Smaug you dog. Quit putting images in my head

I play on MSN games, I've tried most of them but my favorites are the Arcade Games. Like killing chickens, peggles & what have you. I find an shooting game before I do rounds here improves my times. That info is for the slow moe's, Jeremy, Wayne, Gary & Chickie, need not apply

I have a game on my computer that someone sent me by email. Its kind of like playing shuffleboard except its elves in thongs. Santa snaps their thongs and sends them flying down the shuffleboard. Except the shuffleboard is a ship. And if you send them flying too hard, there are sharks waiting at the end.

Spreading cheer,
Lodi

One of my fav's on pogo is shuffle bump - it's wacked out Lodi - you have to avoid fire pits, -6's, glue - really fun! Flying elves in thongs - bet they were drinking when they came up with that one LOL!

I forgot to say I also do jigsaw puzzles on line. There is a timer and multiple sizes and numbers of pieces. I like to do the 48 states puzzle. There is a whole lot of pictures in the gallery to chose. The url is www.crazy4jigsaws.com They have a daily puzzle and will send an email with it. Nothing to join and there are contests for gift certs every month or two.

When my oldest daughter was little, we had a giant puzzle of the United States. We used to put that thing together about once a month. Otherwise I don't like jigsaws but when I saw your post about the U.S., it got my attention.

This is kind of exciting, all these new games to try. Thanks for the post, Erin.

Our family (me,my husband, our grandchildren) play the Pogo site more than any, Word Whomp being our favorite. My daughter and I play Cerebral Vortex when we really want a rush...wears me out!!! Also enjoy Freecell. But, I confess, I am a Zelda and Animal Crossing junkie. I love the Wii graphics for Zelda.

I'm really suprised I haven't seen my favorite non-sploofus site BoxerJam Games There are many fun games where you compete against other players. My two favorites are Know It All and Strike a Match. Trivia and word association buffs be warned... very fun and addictive,
Erin

Erin, I am a member of Boxerjam.com too, my favorites also being Know It All and Strike A Match...fun games!

On a side note, for those of you who like to get free samples of stuff in the mail, go to Cheapfree.com ...you don't have to go through all the BS to get most of the samples, like you do on other free sample sites. It is updated quite frequently and right now there are 11 pages of stuff. I have gotten things like Tide, Downey, cereal, Dove and Jergens lotions, Betty Crocker Warm Delights, feminine hygiene products (oops, can I say that? lol) and more.
