I don't think your level matters for your badge...it's just based on how long you've been around.

Congrats on the badge upgrade!

I missed my yoda too because all six of the movie i can watch at any time. Got hooked on them because i was the only one brave enough to take my granddaughter to see them. But in the movies section of the avatars there are at least 3 or 4 versionsof yoda. charlotte MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU.

Is there any kind of record for the longest period of time in between posts on a thread?

The Grateful Dead performed the song New Speedway Boogie live more than 50 times. But somewhere in the middle of those 50, there was a gap of 20 years, 152 days in which they did not play it.

Just thought you might like to know.

Ok, just thought I might like to type it.

Isn't it weeks of membership, not level, that determines the icon by your name?

There's a story, which Ken may be able to confirm, that the Grateful Dead were playing a particular song, and gradually segued into another song, as they did so well, and never got back to finishing the original song until two or three shows later. This may be apocryphal, but if it ain't true it oughtta be. Anybody gonna see the Dead this tour?

I'm going to visit the catacombs in Sicily this year. Does that count, Ron?

Sounds like fun, Andy. Hope you have lovely weather.

The surviving four members of the Grateful Dead are currently touring, with a new guitarist and new keyboard player, as the Dead. No Grateful. We've got tix to the show at the Rosemont (I'll never call it the Allstate) next month. THAT tour, Sandy. Wanna go?

Yeah, Ron, I'll be seeing them Tuesday at the MCI Center.

Anyway, there were plenty of times they took their time finishing a song, though it was often intentional. The most notable may be after promoter Bill Graham was killed in a helicopter crash in 1991. Two nights later, they opened a four-show run at Oakland with Sugar Magnolia, one of his favorite songs. They never finished it though, until a full week later, at the end of their set at the free memorial concert in Golden Gate Park.

Rosemont is right next to O'Hare Airport, Sandy.

That's the story, Ken. Thank you!

Hope you have a good show. From what I've heard it's pretty good. Warren Hayes sounds like Brent when he sings.

It's the old Rosemont Horizon, Sandy. Andy's right, it's right near O'Hare. When we lived up in South Bend, that was the place to see the Grateful Dead on Fall tours. Allstate Insurance bought the right to change the name, but...it's still the Rosemont Horizon to me.

I know. I know. It was all pretty much Rosemont and Deer Creek for this Midwest boy. And they were pretty good, Ken, they were pretty good. I've heard lots of MSG tapes, and people say the East Coast energy was palpable on those tours. Well, Nothing left to do now but ! And I'm stoked to see what the boyz can pull out this time around.
