How can someone do the wordpuzzle in only 10 moves and in only 90 seconds unless they are cheating - what do you think we are stupid to not know that they are cheating - why can't people just play sploofus for the fun of it and not have to cheat.

Makes you wonder, don't it.

I think it might be a kid (a Sploofuser's kid).

I've wondered the very same thing...unless it is a finite list of possibilities (like NFL teams), it's jsut not possible...and just plain silly to cheat on a trivia website...

I got to admit, I dont know, and to be honest I am not that much bothered :D

If and only if it is cheating, then they can't be enjoying it as much as me

Yeah it's a little frustrating to know that no matter how well you do on a word round, you'll never do better than someone who is cheating, but there's really no way to stop it is there?

Some people just get joy out of cheating...most people around here have more fun actually playing fairly...oh well!

Cheating is a very real fact in Word Puzzles. It is accomplished through various means, primarily "networking" were two or more people share answers, perhaps in a system of daily rotation, or through multiple accounts by the same person, or by several people working in turn at the same computer with their own accounts and after viewing others take the quiz first.

I know the word puzzles are being investigated and several cheaters have been identified. It is not a wait to see how they are handled.

Its really difficult for two people to share many of the same answers in word puzzles. There is a random amount for each category. So there is no guarantee that every user will get the same 5 puzzles. However, there is a good possibility that they may get one, two, or maybe even three of the same.

The cheaters don't bother me much. I play for fun using whatever skills I possess. When I do well, I feel very good about myself. I'm sorry to say that cheaters don't know that feeling and never will.

Yeah in my family the hot topic of conversation is always "How did you do on the word puzzle?" and while I'm taking the word puzzle, they all stand around and grin cause they know the answers and I dont. I'll admit that there's been a time or two when I was present while someone else took the word puzzle, but it didnt get me anywhere when I did mine anyway, cause only like one of the answers comes up.
I suck at word puzzles.

I did a similar score (something like 6 moves in 90 seconds, I don't properly recall). The category was Shakepeare's Plays, and knowing Shakepseare's works as I do, it was more of a crossword puzzle. Match the number of letters with the plays I knew.

What I'm trying to say is, the person who scored so highly may have just known the subject matter well.

But when the catagory is so WIDE - how can you get it so fast - and that is what that person did - I could see if it was baseball teams - we got that it no time at all - but Brain teasers in 10 moves and 90 seconds - come on now.
