First of all, a very Merry Christmas to my Sploofus family.

This morning after getting home from work, I went to check my American Express account online. Much to my dismay, I was double billed for one item -- one very expensive item.

American Express was sensational. They removed the duplicate charge on Christmas Day!! I was quite fortunate to get a customer service rep that was extremely good at her job. I then left a very angry message on the answering machine of the company in question.

So check those statements carefully!

I got charged for something I didn't buy at the dollar store yesterday, but I decided "Heck, it's only a dollar...not worth the time and trouble and aggravation to everyone else waiting to pay for me to go in and demand my dollar back!"

So Merry Christmas everyone!

And I will be double checking all my accounts online

I've hung on to American Express, even though they charge for the card, because of their wonderful customer service. They once called me up to ask if I had purchased a particular item - just like the Tina Fey commercial currently running on TV. Of course, I had not (it was a $2,000 TV, and this was years ago when this would have been a very rare purchase). They removed it instantly. I think they're great!

This is a very unfortunate and misguided message.

I want to stress that is a legitimate charge and should not be challenged by goodhearted, virtous sploofers..

Merry Christmas from !!!
