I think it is figured automatically but I'm not sure. Boy, bet you feel enlightened now, huh?

Although I'm not exactly sure how to tell you what it is in words, here a few links:
This one tells you how the sploofactor is calculated:

And here's another one I found while searching that asks the same question:

Alot of people answered, hope this helps. -Stout

It has been explained multiple times but I still don't have a clue as to what it is or how it is calculated. Perhaps one has to have a mathematically thinking mind. All I know is that mine is low but doesn't seem to affect me adversely one whit-Linda

The sploofactor takes into account the following:
N = number of quizzes taken: "Taken"
T = average time per question in seconds: "Time/q. (s)"
A = accuracy in percent: "Avg."
These three elements are then put into a formula to give us the sploofactor. I seriously think this equation would be improved if it took into account perhaps the average level of difficulty of each quiz. I think that since sploofus is essentially a game, and some are concerned about playing a game and achieving a high sploofactor, it may encourage the most difficult quizzes to go relatively unplayed. I think the formula needs to be adjusted. For example, scoring a 60% on an eight star quiz would count maybe the same as scoring a 100% on a one star quiz, since both scores are likely to get you into the top ten for the quiz.
A player was recently complaining that most of the quizzes here are pop culture "junk" quizzes, and if there was a higher incentive to play the harder quizzes without affecting your chances on the sploofactor leaderboard, I think that would help to fix this problem some. I also think it would help those of us who want to take the harder quizzes just to learn something, or those who perhaps have only a smattering of knowledge in a topic but would like to learn more or take a chance. Some of us play to learn, others like myself are just playing a game, and I won't take a quiz that's really difficult if it's going to affect my standings in the game. I think changing this equation would help to improve the "quality" of the quizzes on this site, and I know that's something Justin has expressed concern about.

Just my opinion- Stout

I think it might "help" anyway.

Is there a certain point at which the "sploofactor" kicks in? I've taken a bunch of quizzes, but my sploofactor is still "N/A". I don't think my average is probably that bad (I mean, I've bombed a few...but mostly my scores are decent)

The factor appears after you have been a member for a certain amount of time. I thought it was around the 12-week point--or maybe the end of the third month--something like that. Yours should be showing up any time now.

Well, A2sportsguy and Unclej are at level 95 and, as far as anyone knows, they are not getting cash yet.
