Greetings sploofers- many years ago, a radio disc jockey that I contacted numerous times playing trivia, sent me a certificate that bestowed a "fribbrologist" degree upon me. It seems like this word may be somewhat reminiscent of sploofing.

I'm not sure if the spelling is correct------- and unfortunately, I cannot find my certificate to help me remember.

Any help or feedback is appreciated.

Never heard of it and googling comes up with nothing.

Sounds like a made-up word combining the word fribble and the suffix -ologist, with the extraneous 'r' added for ease of pronunciation.

Making fribbrologist an expert in the science of wasting time (i.e., an expert in trivia)???

Just a thought.

If that is the case, Missashlee, I'm SURE I've seen it in WordRounds. LOL

Hey Al! I always enjoy your comments during the word rounds. By the way, how did you get a personalized icon? I thought you had to be platinum for that.

See you in the word rounds!

Hi Karen - re icons/badges. You'll find your 'badge' changes as your membership time increases. You'll change to a star from 12 - 20 weeks, then a ? like Al's from 21 - 32 weeks. Try clicking on someone's user name, then click on their 'badge' and you will get full details of the badge system.

Thanks again for your interest in this post [ that I even forgot about.]

Some day, I'll find my trivia certificate and report back on a party barge cruise.

I like being a fribbrologist! [I think]
