MUTIPLE QUIZZES?

Is it me or does anybody else get agitated when multiple quizzes are released at the same time by the same author?

they are probably trying to move up in the quiz author rank on the last day of the month

It is sickening and unfair and makes me insanely furious.

Oh wait, I though we were talking about Multiple Sclerosis.

Multiple quizzes? Who the frig cares?

Lots of people care Smaug. I don't like it when I send out a trivia quiz and it gets pushed off the page almost right away by an author who just sent out 40 quizzes in a row or something. No one sees it, no one plays.

I know what you mean, Mitchy. But people pay money to be able to write as many as they want. I don't think it benefits anyone, even the author, to flood the place. I think it diminishes everyones points, including themselves.

You should have been here when we had FITB quizzes. Some days a quiz would not stay on the front page for 2 hours. It still is not a perfect system, but it is better than before.

I take your point mitchy but unless we change the rules it is not easy to fix.
I think keeping the EA quizzes on for a minimum time (or only releasing a certain number of quizzes an hour) IS possible but I'm sure sploofus has considered and rejected those ideas.
I WAS peeved to have an EA quiz vanish in less than 3/4 hours under an onslaughtr of new quizzes...but there again I did have one quiz stuck on top of the list for 3-4 days when the system went down. Them's the breaks.

What I would like to see is EA as a separate category (not just clickable when you mouseover) - so that that last 25 EA's are there - that will give them more staying power. I only have one EA so have nothing to compare it to - but it really WAS a good one - but is lower on the taking polls than the more popular music & movies I do which hey - I'm not complaining - I gotta get my points somehow -- but most popular - last 25 EA's - last 25 quizzess - or vice versa - so that the EA's get a bit more coverage just a thought

Kaelin - You can see the EAs as a separate category. When you pull down the Trivia Quizzes window at the top of the page, one of the choices is Editors Awards. Click on that and scroll down. First you get a link to the awards each editor has given out, but under those are the most recent EAs. And there are quite a lot of them listed, so I'm guessing that a quiz getting an EA will be showing on that list for maybe 4-5 days, at least.

I really wish that each quiz would be visible on some main page for that period of time, but the EAs are.

Hi Alice

I know that one is there - but it's a dropdown link from the menu -
>>(not just clickable when you mouseover)

I noticed, one time, that when another of my quizzes was submitted but the prior one hadn't made it off of the 30 most recent list, that the newest quiz title was displayed @ the top of the list & the slightly older one wasn't being displayed anymore.

So how does one author get to have multiple quizzes displayed @ the same time? I've only noticed it once or twice - one author has about 6 quizzes on the 30 most recent list.

Bunny

If I'm thinking of the wrong spot, let me know pls.

Could be mistaken but believe very early on an author could have more than one quiz on the 30 most recent. At least now the multiple quiz authors push their own off as well. Would really like to see a set time limit for ALL quizzes but that would most likely cause a horrible backlog. I try to time my quiz launches so that one hits shortly after the one disappears. Often this is an effort in futility because of the random time a quiz remains on 30 most recent. Some that I believe to be my best appear after I go to bed and are gone by the time I wake up. The truth is most folks look at 30 most recent and 25 most popular and don't bother to go any farther-guess tis the way it is....
