Lots of people in the "now playing" section at 8:49. Just wondered what everyone did to celebrate. I for one, blew my image by going to bed at 10PM stone sober.

Now it is just because I am old. But learned early on in my youth that it was prudent not to venture out of the house on New Year's Eve. Folks who haven't taken a drink all year long think it it is the thing to do to get roaring drunk on New Year's Eve and then drive somewhere else-absolute insanity-Linda

New Year's is absolutely the worst night to go out. We always have a small party at home. We stayed up until two but when I drink I can never sleep in. Must get up and get coffee.

We had a huge bonfire out in the horse field & fireworks at midnight. All the near neighbours attended. We do this every year so no one has to drink & drive. The staggering home through the trails in the dark always makes for a lot of laughs. For me, anyway, I'm standing in open field listening to them

I had to work. Sparkling apple cider at midnight! What a hoot!

Karaoke and beer ... karoke and champagne ... karoke and hooch ... walk home ... look up who won and crash.

I proposed, and was accepted. It's gonna be a great year! I also swore off of lying, duck fighting and spam.

Congratulations Felix!

What's "duck fighting"?

Never mind, withdraw the last question.

Felix! That is so great! I got married on Signal Mountain 2 years ago and both sides of both families stayed in Chattanooga. If you like, I can give you info on the caterers, photographers, and this awesome cake place we used when you guys start planning. Congratulations!

Congrats, Felix. I spent my New Year's Eve driving the bus for a wedding which evolved into a New Year's party. Got home about 3:30am.

Heidi, I found your message amusing because a co-worker had said basically the same thing at work. A former drinker, she said she never went out to party on New Year's Eve because that was "amateur night" when all the once-a-year drinkers were out and couldn't handle their drinks!

As for me, I worked until 8 p.m., then was supposed to go help at a dance but I wasn't feeling well so came home and fell asleep in my recliner. I see the new year got here without any help from me -- as usual.

Happy 2008 everyone.

Congratulations, Felix! I hope the two of you will be very happy! I always stay home, but usually at least stay up till the ball drops in New York at 11:00 p.m. our time, and didn't even manage that last night. Went off to dreamland! Happy New Year to everyone!!!

Very nice, Felix. Congratulations!
I stayed up drinking Bailey's and coffee and watched the last season Sopranos marathon on HBO. I then did an imitation of my reaction to the end of the original finale (grabbed remote, said, "Whaaaat? No way!") which amused the hubby greatly! Very fun!

Best wishes to you Felix and Susan. I played Poker had chips and dip, drank A&W root beer and had a small piece of carrot cake. I actually stayed up until 1am. Is my life exciting or what?

My husband and I both had to work. So much for celebrating.
