Hey Linda. You have the right to complain or ask any question you wish. I think you may be better, more quickly and directly helped if you sent these issues in to the editors in a support ticket. It might also help deter people from jumping on you for complaining. I know that a player has been encouraged to offer suggestions for 2.0, but to avoid teasing, you could just send your query directly to those that can help. Hope you have a great tomorrow!

Linda - I have repeatedly been asking for the same thing. Understand that some of the editors are fairly active quiz writers, and as writers our quizzes suffer the same problems that yours do.

I do believe that it is on Justin's to-do list, but that list is incredibly long! I've seen some of the things on his to-do list, and I stopped looking cause I don't even begin to understand them. The world of programming is a place that I know nothing about, and frankly, don't care to learn about.

I do believe that Justin understands what players want. And, I do believe that it will happen, but I guess it is not a priority just right now. He works alone, and keeping this site alive (along with his paying job and his family) is taking up all his time right now.

Was a post of mine deleted or did i post it in the wrong place. Was responding to my words with Chick. Don't know how to make it any clearer. She has 2 posts during her whole membership which havee significance the ones to do with children and chiildren's hospitals. All the rest are simply echoes of others ideas. Like I am supposed to pray for the Cubs when so many people need prayer. I said I tried to keep it in the pm forum but she needed the show. Shbe cannot seem to distinguish between a question and a complaint. Even if iis a complaint, that is how change happens. Her only reply is "CHEESE" -how juvenile-Linda

Linda, I don't think I have yet to post anything in this forum that can be described as meaningful. Mostly just banter. I think if someone "called me out" on the brevity of my posts, I may react negatively, too. You have had such a rough year, consider the possibility that this anger may be slightly misdirected. Alot of people like Chick, and those same people like you. I don't know exactly what happened between you, but just consider the possibility that there was a miscommunication. It happens often when we don't have the luxury of facial expression and tone of voice.

There is a difference between constructive input and chronic complaining. I think, Linda, that, oftentimes, your posts lean towards the latter. The reactions and responses from individuals on here range from "Right on!" to "What the hell is she talking about?" to "Oh Christ, not another one!"

I'm not suggesting you don't continue to voice your opinions and ask your questions. However, you have to be prepared, when you voice your opinions and ask your questions in a manner that can be taken as chronic complaining, you are going to receive feedback in kind.

Newton said, "For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction." Think about that.

And Abe Lincoln said in Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, "Be excellent to each other and PARTY ON DUDES!"

Linda, I apologize that no one has so far addressed your question.

The answer is that we have had discussions about lengthening the new quiz list in various ways, and we do expect to see changes in the quiz listings for v2.0, but until Justin is through programming and coding or whatever it is he does, we just don't know where or how many new quizzes will be listed.

I am in favor of a much longer list, and a separate place or provisions made for CQs to be launched; it's all under discussion, we will make our recommendations, and Justin will decide.

All I can tell you is that change is coming, we hope for the better, and everyone's opinions are welcome and valued. I'll do my best to keep the membership advised of any details about quiz page changes as they become known to me.

Linda, I think if you had just posted the suggestion, no one would have commented except in agreement. But I think because you sort of made a point to state this was "not a complaint", but then ended your comments with a what some may consider to be a complaint. Something about how it currently doesn't seem fair. You were just driving home your point, explaining why you felt the way you do. It just sounded a little whiny, like a complaint, so she teased you for it. My sisters, heck, my mom would tease me the same way. Is there any way you think you may have over reacted? Based on this thread, no one really thinks she was trying to be hateful to you. Its the New Year, a fresh start. Lets all rally around each other instead of tearing each other down. Everyone join hands for a chorus of Koombya.

I thank you, Lodi. What you say makes sense. Googled the word "drivel" and found one of the meanings is " to waste folishly". Am tempted when one posts a meaningless post and wastes everyone's time, just to say "drivel" like folks are fond of the word "cheese" when one expresses an opimion or asks a question. Don't know if i will or not but it is very tempting!! Linda

I like Heidi's posts and look forward to them. They are brilliant. They are like a Sploofus puzzle all unto themselves:

"wold be nice if qizzes didn't linfer as do sone of mine nor zip rigt trough at record spreedntio"

"linfer?....."zip rigt trough"..."spreedntio"??

what can it mean?

Is it Mandarin? Armenian? Mirror writing?

An anagram? If I move the first letter to the end and add an "a" will it be latin?

Could it be a coded signal to a cell of Islamic terrorists? Jesus....the guys who run the Quiki Mart? My wife is on her way there! If something tragic happens, will I still get my 12 pack of Samuel Smith's Nut Brown Ale for tonite?

Drama, drama, drama...

Tex has Thoughts:

1. WHat the Flock is Heidi complaining about with chick? If there is going to be a public fight, I want to join, but at LEAST need to know the topic.( Not that it will stop me....)

2. When I make typos. it's because I type with 3 finger on a small keyboard and am to damn lazy to fix them. SO no excuses from me.

3. I think Chick cheats. No evidence, just a feeling....

4. I have found that my quizzes get taken regardless of their position on the new quizzes board. Unless they suck. Then they tend to NOT get taken regardless of their position.

5. Smaug, do you also have a form of Turret's that only effects what you type?

6. I think editors should not be allowed to write quizzes. I have NO good reason for this perspective either. Just seems like a good rule to promote. WHy should editors get to actually have FUN on this site?

7. I think Justin is Lodi's little brother. That's why he always comes to her aid. Not because he loves her like a brother, but because she reminds him that she will beat his ass at the next family outing if she doesn't get her way.

8. I like that Heidi speaks her mind.

9. Beer is good.

10. Single Malt Scotch is Better.

I'm still reeling from the fact that Smoke pays 2 bucks to call someone who cares - my Daddy only ever offered me a quarter - I'm thinking of a new way to rack up bucks for platinum now - I'm going to make a list of whines - rack up 2 bucks each time (or more if someone else wants to throw in) and pocket them instead of actually calling someone - I can't think of anything to whine about yet - but if I think REALLY hard - maybe I can...

Does the hard drive starting to fail on one of my servers and having to spend Christmas moving clients to a new one count? Or having to replace my electrical box on my water well - or is it only sploofusing whining - outside of sploofus I can come up with bunch!
