TODAY'S JANUARY 18 WORD PUZZLE

I don't know how important this is, and it had nothing to do with my crappy score on today's "January 18" Word Puzzle, but there may be a spelling error in one of the puzzles. At least a variant spelling.

Agreed. If an editor writes, I can name the puzzle.

Really enjoyed this - I like the "this date in history" puzzles - I will be interested to find out if a puzzle/event I didn't get was included in the other five for this date after it's all over.

Foogs, if you send in a support ticket to the editor, they will check it out.

I've removed an extra letter from a word; we apologize for the mistake. I hope it's the one you meant. Please, when you think you see a misspelling in a word puzzle, it would be very helpful if you'd report it in a support ticket as soon as you can.

Thanks!

The biggest thing that ever happened on January 18 in my world is my sweet Dad went to Heaven on that date in 2004. I placed coffee on his grave while ago, as I drank mine and had a conversation with him about all the things he taught me and was a roll model for. His part of the conversation was all those wonderful stories I can still hear being told in his voice. Neat, neat man. I'll still be missing him the day I die.

I have. I'm just not a good writer. But I did video him telling some stories in person to pass to my son and grandson. And even though he was in pain, he finally gave in and sang some on tape for me - he had an amazing voice. But his heart was with farming and horses. If not, I believe he would have been up there with Bing Crosby.

And re the puzzle. I wish all 5 would either be consistently either past tense or present tense. I lost 9 points guessing the wrong one. This is why I don't play the lottery. (Bringing to mind that HeeHaw song "If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all.)

Kind of upset that "only two more shopping days till twoxfourmans birthday" didn't appear in the puzzle.

It did! You must just not have gotten that one - unluck of the draw.

I assume I'll be getting my gifts on Saturday, since the post office doesn't deliver on Sunday. My weight in $100 bills is the number one item on my list.

the $100.00 bills were printed this morning, and shipped overnight. Mr. Moneybags' picture is a little blurred, but it'll be ok.

Remember when preparing your gifts, 8x10man is down to a svelte 500 pounds.

I suppose I should have specified the correct currency. Straight from the United States Treasury, please.

I've read discussions here that referenced support tickets, but since I've never needed one I never bothered to look for them. Now I know where they are. It's all about self-discovery.

One stinking 4-letter word where I least expected it killed me. Two letters left.

Blast.

Did any of the other puzzles have this one in them?
