Dear Justin,

I am kind of surprised that KATHIEBTV has won the last challenge from me. When I checked the challenges as of 5 AM this morning on Jan 19, KATHIEBTV had 0 hours and mins
left to answer the question, and yet I got a message that said that as of 11 O;clock
KATHIEBTV had answered the question faster than I did. How could this be? Something is not right here. I AM MOUNTING A PROTEST! Please contact me!

Have you submitteed a support ticket? The superb editorial staff answer the tickets very quickly these days.

There's a quirk in the clock on showdowns; I noticed it when I had five (OK OK that is a bit excessive) going at the same time...... I think this is how it works:
Your clock assumes that the showdown was mounted at 12midnight at the start of the day you posed it; in fact that number is misleading. It would show you as having less time to go than is really the case.
In other words assuming 168 hours is the max time; you will wake up on the next day and see that at midnight of that first day the number shifted to 144 hours. In fact it could be anywhere between 145 and 167 hours to go.

If you ever have two showdowns going simultaneously you should be able to check the truth or falsehood of this statement, by seeing the difference in hours between the two as a multiple of 24 hours. If that is NOT the case I'm talking a load of horse kaka-poo!

I had that happen to me once. Said 0 hours for about a day and then I got the notice that it was a stalemate. I sent in a support ticket saying that the other party didn't answer and I should have won. The ticket was returned saying the other party DID answer. So there is something weird about our clock vs. their clock.

It happened to me & now my showdown history chart & victory percentages will be wrong forever. You have to send in a support ticket so they can resore points. I don't understand why it is that they can't reverse the result for ea party & be sure the showdown percentage is correct. I know I was told 'it just can't be done,' but computers can do this if there is a protocol for people who have been shafted.

We've just done a calculation on an outstanding challenge. I happen to have written down the exact time and day it should expire i.e. 3 p.m. EST on Wednesday. The Sploofus showdown clock is currently showing it expiring 15 hours earlier, confirming your theory!

I take it this means we should always note down, and go by, the actual time of a showdown (or challenge at 00.00 EST!)

I answered two correctly and didn't get any info when I answered. After four support inquiries, I was told it was a glitch and was told to be patient. I didn't need the 27 million points anyway.

I doubt any of the editors know for sure. It's a software issue, behaving however it is programmed.

We don't have access to the system code. We only see what we experience as players, or what you report to us.

Barry, after i read this, i noticed i had a challenge. so i decided to test your theory. (note the time on the PM notifying me of the challenge and that it says someone ""just"" challenged me.)

i went to "SHOWDOWN CHALLENGES" at the following times and copied the "Hours until deadline" posted there....
Hours until deadline: 148.9
Hours until deadline: 148.5
Hours until deadline: 148.0

Check me on this please but my analysis is:

-challenges are open for 168 hours-

i was challenged at 1:58pm today according to the message, and at 7:58pm -6 hours later- there were 148.0 hours till the deadline.

where did other 14 hours go?

Go to Your Sploofus space on upper left of screen, scroll down to player support, enter, then you will find a selection of issues. Chose the wager section & explain your problem in a support ticket. Good luck

You'll have to do the support ticket so the editors can help you.

You can click 'Your Sploofus Space' on the drop down menu & then on that pg in the list on the left towards the bottom click 'Player Support'. Or if the drop down menus are activated you can hold your cursor over the 'Your Sploofus Space' and select 'Player Support' from there. Once on that pg click 'Showdowns' if one of the selections towards the top of that pg is good for you, then you can use it send a msg (if you pick one but it's not exactly the problem you are having, I don't think the editors will mind greatly). If you are uncomfortable with using one of the pre-listed problems shown on that pg, then you could always go back to the 'Player Support' pg and pick other.

I can't remember which one I used when it happened to me. I know you didn't get an actual error message, but if it were me going through this again I'd use the 2nd option, not that you have to as I noted earlier.

These are the 'problem topic options' listed on the Showdowns pg:

Player Support
Please select a support issue:

I have a Showdown that expired but has not been closed


I staged or responded to a Showdown Challenge and encountered a system error


The answer to the question in my showdown was incorrect
