I only knew one of mine and the rest were like who are you talking about. Didn't care for this one too much but I guess it takes all kinds thats why its called trivia.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one! Never heard of two out of five.

Both clever and horrible at the same time. Overall I have to give it a big .

I knew all of mine. I just sucked at the puzzle.

I found it oddly intriguing, like touching a bruise. Usually I am utterly frustrated when I have to guess a lot of letters, but this time I was able to guess most of the names with only one or to correct letters placed.

Tough but fun, and a really different challenge. I liked it.

I knew all of mine, too, but it is difficult to do puzzles with so few letters and not end up losing a bunch of points--even more so with this one, given its nature (I don't want to say more than that and give it away). But none of the puzzles I got were unfamiliar to me.

I think 3 of the 5 were unfamiliar to me. So I just kept plugging in letters until something came up. Even googling didn't help.

The clues sucked. Puzzle Sucked. Might as well have had a puzzle named " Name this person who played a sport" About the same as far as ambiguity goes.

This one needs some brownie points

Better than five by five is anything by anything because 5x5 means ... However, comedians from a clue would be great!

A clue would have helped, maybe the decade or a show name, I didn't recognize one

We knew them all. As usual puzzle clues stunk, they're always misleading or irrelevant, sometimes even stupid. I better shut up.

I now recall why I stopped doing WordPuzzles. Stupid concept if you aren't going to use real name of people who are actually funny. I jumped ship after two unknowns.

I only knew one of mine. But I never bail out - part of the fun of the puzzle is to guess letter combinations. The only puzzles I truly hated were - ahem - Welsh.

maybe I got lucky; I'm a fan of mainstream comedy, knew all five of mine, and still sucked big-time.... oh well cant win them all.
Nice puzzle idea; but as was suggested a small indirect clue might be helpful next time for such short words?
Just a thought....

Ouch! But other than that it was great, right?

It was just an idea that popped into my mind late one night when we were desperate for more word puzzles. Clearly it needs refinement.

I did try to include more Brits and women, but didn't find many to fit the constraints of the puzzle. I felt I used the most well-known ten names I found. I didn't use clues because I was trying to make it google-proof.

My regrets to those who were unhappy with the puzzle. Your complaints and suggestions are duly noted and will be given every consideration.

WP can also stand for "work in progress".

Just a thought...but if "It was just an idea that popped into my mind late one night when we were desperate for more word puzzles.", why not have Sploofusers send in our ideas? That way ya'll weren't "desperate".

Wouldn't it be great...

Me.
