Great site, fabulous music! Whatever you might think of the Vietnam war, it had a hell of a soundtrack. I remember listening to many of these songs on Armed Forces Radio between fire missions at several artillery firebases west of Chu Lai and south of Da Nang.

Thanks for the link, Palma.

This looks looks like a great site, Palma! I tried to play the songs, and then read it was not compatible with Firefox. I switched to Internet Explorer, and where the play button was supposed to be was a "rectangle with a red "X" in the corner. It also says you need Windows Media Player, which I do have, and couldn't figure out how to make it play.

If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. Thanks, and Thanks, Palma!

Marilyn:

The box with a red "x" indicates that your PC hasn't received the image file for the "Play" button. Ordinarily, you might be able to recover it by right-clicking on the box and selecting "Show picture" once or twice, but this site has right clicking disabled so no one can copy anything easily. If the picture of the "Play" button is important, you can try a refresh or two. But you can probably also just click the box.

Anyway, you don't need to use the "Play" button at all unless you want to repeat a song. Just expand one of the playlists, select a song you want to hear and click it. It will start playing in a few seconds.

Also, some of the songs just don't play. Maybe the corresponding files are missing or damaged. Pick another one and try that. There's a lot of good music on the site.

Thanks, Larry! I used Internet Explorer the first time, and nothing happened, but this time the "Active X" Option came up at the top, so after clicking that, it works. It is some great music, and thanks Palma for the link!

That Active X thing popped up on me the other day and it didn't look right so I tried to cancel it and close it and it wouldn't let me. I wound up shutting off my computer improperly but at least I was able to get out of it. I hope I did anyway.

Myspace had a horrendous activex infestation last year. Many other hosts then had them. I ran several bulletin boards off a European hosting service and they got hit and didn't do #$%## about it because they are a bunch of @#$$%%%.

You can tell I'm not bitter. Cost me about a hundred hours to move my boards to my own domain.

THIS IS WHAT YOU HAVE! Stay away from that site:

I don't know Diva- anything that doesn't go away when you click 'cancel' or try to close the little box I'm a little afraid of. This thing wanted to download it's little self on my computer no matter what. Not sure about AOL messenger- I generally stay away from anything AOL related but that's ANOTHER story

BTW the Active X didn't come up for me on the VietNam site, it was another site. The VN site wanted the Windows Media Player plug-in.
